Mubarak has stepped down, per a short statement from Vice President Suleiman. Crowds going wild in the streets.
How long until Obama takes credit for this???
Forgot to include this, you should read it:

irrelevant? have you seen what they've done for the past two years alone in our own country? Freedom from tyranny does not mean that you get to stand with your fingers in your ears and hum and trust naively that you will prevail. it is beyond naive to think there isn't going to be a massive power struggle in Egypt now. Who is organized? secular democratic forces? name one. there aren't any.
They don’t like the old boss, I think they are REALLY not going to like the new boss. Sulieman has already said that the demonstrations must stop now. Would a two thousand pound blockbuster bomb in the center of the “square” be an effective crowd dispersant?
“Im struck at how reminiscent that attitude is of the throngs on the Mall for Obamas inauguration; reveling in the election of our first black president all awash in hope and change, not remotely cognizant of the fact that he nor anyone in his administration could grip their butt with both hands. But gosh darnit it felt GOOD!”
Didn’t feel good to me...scared the hell out of me. The peaceful revolution in Egypt is scary, but is it our ONLY chance at defeating terror, period. The liberation of the Middle East is crucial and the only chance at defeating terrorism and islamic fanaticism. No guarantees this will turn out well, but it is an opportunity for victory. I have been watching this on tv and see Egyptian flags, not communist, not muslim...change the flags and we could have a tea party going on...
Based on the past history of these people .. and I don't mean just Egyptians, but all of the Islamic countries in that area .. I would say that the actual history goes against your hopeful theories and rosy wishes.
Children want fruity skittles and pink unicorns, but experience has shown that they're not likely to get them. I don't view your optimism as anything better than Chamberlain's "Peace in our time" hopes, especially since we know that there are sharks (in the form of the Moslem Brotherhood) in the waters of Egyptian protests. You may think you're swimming with dolphins, but the rest of us see them, in truth, as sharks.
A few drops of poison in a large glass of water still kills. The left is very determined and has come a long way. They are being resisted more now than ever but they are not gone and they never, ever give up.
The left had a great deal to do with the timing of the uprising in Egypt.
Get with the game.
Hizbollah of course :)
Communists “work together” everywhere. But they have become largely irrelevant the past thirty years. People don’t believe them anymore...at least for the most part.
HAving the army in charge could be the only saving grace. Pray they crack down hard.
look it up or will someone please show photo’s of code pink over there along with video’s of unions giving messages and other radical groups getting money.
Yeah, it would disperse it several city blocks. Maybe a mile.
I expect a deadline for clearing the square any time now. Then a sweep.
Then death.

Our country is one of the few that turned a sharp left...only it really didn’t did it? The nation elected what they thought would be a moderate and rejected the left’s push against our liberty. The people of Egypt have done something much more remarkable...they were not allowed free elections. They are overthrowing their tyranny, without violence, by sheer force of will. Something every freedom loving American should respect and appreciate.
er we have radical left wing idiots in the white house or have you forgot that up in IL.
The left wing is running the show over there and all you can say is great , well done, freedom.
People don’t believe the left wing, er have you not understood what all of us have told you and have you looked around the world today.
It’s the left like Soros taking over countries, again where do you get your info and news from
I’ve asked you a bunch of times now and not once will you say
I hope I’m right, but there is very little US oil that goes through Suez...maybe 7-10% and it’s for Europe, at least that’s what I remember from ‘the news’...lots of OTHER cargo goes to the Med and EU through the canal tho.
Shutting down or limiting Suez traffic will not be good no matter what.
IF this event, caliphate trickles into Saudi within the year THEN we’ll have a nasty time with oil. Hope Canada, Mex and Venezuela don’t all turn Izzie on us...
G
Zero only wants what has already happened.

I am sorry, I do not see marxist posters or flags with the people celebrating their liberation. I don’t see them doing muslim chanting, I see them waving their nations flag and being jubilant...not angry. You are giving the left more power than they have...
I have no proof that code pink is over there, go to their website
either your’re lazy or just ignorant, go to their site they tell you that they are there.

you know what, I’ll let others explain facts to you seeing as you’re too lazy to get the info yourself and too lazy t educate yourself
manc, anyone that has the intelligence to get in out of the rain knows that this was not a “spontaneous” uprising. It was organized and coordinated by the muslim brotherhood, communists, Leftists, behind the scene obama goons, and media. A few useful idiots, were employed to give it flavor were used. But make no mistake, this does not bode well for he interests of The United States, Israel, The Egyptian Coptics, or other infedals.
It's not the greatest government, either, but when the governments are forcefully and quickly removed - there's a void. That void has to be filled by....something..... and fast.
Problem-reaction-solution. The radicals already have the solution (theirs). All they have to do is manipulate the population into a crises. The radicals create a problem in the minds of the masses (real or imagined). The next step is to get the masses to demand change. The radicals then come in with the change the people are demanding, but the "hope and change" always turns out to be a worse situation for the innocent people than they had before the crises.
The people have been herded, and they don't even know it.
These things have to move slowly, so the people actually have the right to think for themselves. Rushing will get them more of the same - or worse. Remember health care? There was no health care crises until the left decided they wanted to take it over. Out came the trial lawyers to sue the pants off doctors, pharmecudicals, and insurance companies. The cost went so high, people cried out for a savior. Presto! The left came out with their health care package to "save" us from the very crises they created!
