Mubarak has stepped down, per a short statement from Vice President Suleiman. Crowds going wild in the streets.

How long until Obama takes credit for this???

“I have great faith in God. I am praying that He will keep the US safe when the Muslim Caliphate spreads throughout the ME. I have Egyptian Coptic Christian friends who have friends and family still in Egypt. I share their heartfelt fears.”

I don’t believe it is a foregone conclusion that the “Muslim Caliphate” will spread throughout the Middle East. Let’s see what happens. Today we can all celebrate the overthrow of a tyrant...that is a good thing.

This isn’t going to have a happy ending.

Au contraire, God is in control and Israel WILL have a happy ending. Her enemies? Not so much.

it may not end up well, but is our ONLY chance for protection.

There's nothing good about a caliphate. It will lead more to our demise than our protection. The entire middle east will be one big jihad. The radical leftists stirring up all this rage will be trampled once their usefulness has ended. Their touchie-feelie nonsense will be pushed aside for Allah.
Yes, the people deserve better, but at this time they're just being used as useful idiots.

yet AGAIN you ignore the FACT that the far left are over there right now as I type to you.

This has nothing to do with Bush and his push for freedom for crying out loud.
Yet again I will tell you this.

The far left , code pink, communists, socialists, marxists are working over there with radical muslims.
They are behind this and have been since obama chose that city to do his speech.

Now will you address facts on the far left and the MB, hell you’ll be telling us next that the MB are fun loving people who love freedom for all and ove religious freedom

I don’t see any evidence that a Caliphate is in power in Egypt...I wonder who really are the useful idiots though.

The MSM is trying mightily to spin what was in essence a military coup.

Indeed! The irony is they are painting these mobs as freedom seekers (like the Tea Party movement) and how wonderful they are for succeeding...if they'd lost, would they be labeling the Egyptian protesters "teabaggers"??

I know that, I just meant for right now. I’ve read the back of the book, and I know who wins in the end. And, it will ultimately be Israel.

You go ahead and ululate with the throngs in Tahir square; I’m a pragmatist and know people who are Egyptian with knowledge of the situation there and see reason for concern. We have differing viewpoints.

This is the point of liberating Afghanistan and Iraq...I listened to President Bush and believe as he does about the matter. Try to get ahold of your fears, they are at this point unfounded. Really, ask yourself...would you prefer to support tyranny an it’s illusion of security or would you prefer to risk for liberation? That is really all that matters at this point. Let’s have a little faith...

“Well, y’all have a good time with the kumbaya crowd around the commune campfire tonight ....”

Now really, how can you justify that kind of statement from what I have posted? Get real...

So, you prefer for people to suffer under tyranny so that you can feel safe, rather than risk for liberty? Think about your position clearly please.

look at how many are trying to help you and educate you.

address to us all why code pink, unions, Ayers, Soros, MB, are there or have been there or are saying get out so quick.

you keep ignoring all of what the left wing are doing and keep harping on about the same thing

I don’t see any evidence that a Caliphate is in power in Egypt...

A caliphate refers to the entire middle east. The entire middle east is on fire. Saudi Arabia is shaking in it's sandals right now. Egypt is quickly becoming just another link in the jihad because of this "revolution." The radical Muslims are circling Israel. The Saudies and Iraq are about the only ones left.

I think that the left is becoming irrelevant very quickly in the world...has been for that past thirty years actually.

I’m struck at how reminiscent that attitude is of the throngs on the Mall for Obama’s inauguration; reveling in the election of our first black president all awash in hope and change, not remotely cognizant of the fact that he nor anyone in his administration could grip their butt with both hands. But gosh darnit it felt GOOD!

The people of Egypt lived under tyranny, they have overthrown that tyranny

I've been following this thread with great interest, especially your interactions with other posters.

You are woefully ill informed or a sleeper troll as someone else suggested.

These "freedom fighter" as you put them believe that adulterers should be stoned, your hands chopped of for stealing, sexually mutilate 90% of their females and think you should be killed if you leave their peaceful religion. 95% say there is not enough islam involved in their Government and want more (read MB)

In fact Rush is talking about this right now, listen learn and wake up.

A Caliphate is a region under the dominion of a Caliph...I see no evidence that Egypt is under such dominion. Saudi’s King should be quaking in his sandals...the people are clamoring for freedom.
