NS is gone. It is a loss, but I figured he was smart enough to keep himself from getting zotted. Too smart for his own good. And that ARkansas DEM is gone too, yes?

Parsifal is still listed as a FReeper, but he self-zotted in a fit of pique back in May of ‘10.

i've self-zotted myself in the real world of CT. I refuse to interact with the RINOs and I refuse to have anything to do with the irrational fringe ... the Peter Schiff types who love losing campaigns.

I am adrift ... alone ... on a raft.

In both campaigns I am working on, I have assigned myself to Fort Sedgewick.

I cain’t wait for his memoirs. Might be better than Keef Richards’ and Ivana Trump’s!

Colorado.

In both campaigns, I have gone to the most remote part of the district, and the bigshots pay me no heed ... now that I far from the headquarters.

One campaign is a Reagan conservative candidate with a RINO staff team ... and the other is a conservative with a far-right campaign team.

Same guy is managing both campaigns, so it seems.

Well, look on the bright side. You could be in that ninth circle of hell known as Massachusetts. ;-D

Correct me if I’m wrong but this doesn’t exactly look like the tea party to me, don’t these people want more socialism? It’s not just about free elections, they haven’t had one of those in forever and haven’t been complaining until now.

Anyway Mubarak reminds me a lot of Mayor Daley. Corrupt socialist dictator but keeps things “stable”. I never thought I’d miss Daley but I will if Rahm is his successor (as is very likely).

It is interesting to see them shake off a dictator with minimal violence, that might be a first in the Islamic world. But whether this is good or not depends entirely on what replaces Mubarak.

Maybe everyone is being alarmist and Jihadists won’t take over. There are plenty of pro-Western elements in Egypt. I’m not sure if a majority of the population would support becoming Iran 2.0. But maybe they will. Or maybe it will be some non-Jihadists but who are still America-hating, Israel-loathing, anti-capitalist swine. That would be very bad.

I support democracy everywhere, all else being equal. But in foreign countries I want whatever government is best for us whether or not they are democratically elected. Some countries can’t handle it. For example I don’t care for the Saudis but if the Saudis left power Saudi Arabia would elect a Hamas-like entity in a hot minute.

Time will tell in Egypt. I hope for the best but I hope you can see why people are worried. I watched some of Al-Jazeera English’s coverage of this on youtube and they’re tone was gleeful, that alone should make one worry.

Also it was funny to hear politicians here single out Mubarak and call for him to resign.

What about Putty Putin and the Chicoms? They are dictators who oppose us at every turn internationally. Obama is silent on whether they oughta go.

I would probably hate America too if I were Egyptians living under a dictator that we supported, fincanced, and called our friend.

Great post!

“I support democracy everywhere, all else being equal. But in foreign countries I want whatever government is best for us whether or not they are democratically elected. Some countries can’t handle it.”

Closer to us: Haiti and maybe someday Cuba. Either the country can’t handle it (Haiti) or who knows if they will be able to (Cuba).

Speaking of dictators, Joe Kennedy XXLIII, has a new, truly bile producing TV ad where he thanks “the government and people of Venezuela” for “helping” the needy here in MA with “free” heating oil.

Hey, Joe, here's an idea for you: Use some of grandpoppy’s ill-gotten riches to “help the needy”...oh right, liberals NEVER use their own money.

What a f*cking scumbag.
