It’s not about how bad Mubarak was. It’s the fear of what will come. Islamist rule over Eqypt will be worse.
I recommend alternating between the two, with copious prayer in between.
If Egypt implodes, we'll have much higher levels of unrest and violence throughout the ME, we'll be facing a crucial collapse of support for the Peace treaty with Israel, and all of that puts us one HUGE step closer to Armageddon.

BBC: Egyptian Tanks Surround US, UK Embassies

The BBC is reporting that Egyptian Army tanks have allegedly surrounded the embassies of the United States and United Kingdom. This comes after Israel evacuated its entire embassy staff via helicopter. This is coming in through their live blog, and further details appear scarce. The BBC is quoting an al-Jazeera cable:
2125: Tanks have surrounded the US and British embassies in Cairo, Al-Jazeera reports.
This could be a huge, huge problem. This is similar to 1979 when the Islamic rebels took the US Embassy and held hostages for 444 days.
Bolton said earlier that now is the time to step back and wait.
I agree 100% Particularly, with the sentiment that all we can do is hope for the best. The time to back one side or the other has long past.
Thanks to all who gave the heads up on CNN. The coverage is lightyears beyond FOX. I would have never thought to turn to CNN as I generally despise that channel (unless their is a hurricane when FOX sucks as well.)

Usually the media misreports APC as tanks... CNN and FOX both showed APCs and called the ‘tanks’ today.
Are the tank cannon barrels pointed towards or away from the embassies?
None so far. They are asking about state of situation type stuff - are stores open? Where are Egyptian Army forces (surrounding the US and UK embassies, but no where else so far). Rioting has subsided because the police force have either gone to the other side, or left the conflict.
People are milling about wondering ‘what’s next?’ is the CNN reporting so far.
CNN is now officially out of news until morning comes. They are starting to speculate on quality and motivation of the protesters out there (young, disaffected).
I don’t think it wise to talk about his political situation in public. You probably did the right thing.

Say, I was watching AI last night and a young beautiful White former Miss Tennessee explained that she is a W.H. intern and simply loves Obama.
She was 19, almost physical perfection, and somewhat talented. She was the kid you’d hope your son would meet and marry, have kids with, and pass on to the next generation. Of course that’s without the world outlook flaw. That being the case, no way.
Look, the kid has been lied to and indoctrinated. What a pristine example of how our next generation is being destroyed. This guy is in the midst of destabilizing the world, and yet she thinks he’s wise enough to ensure her future.
This man is intent on destroying her future, and the future of all people like her.
It’s just very sad.
The Muslim Brotherhood takes Egypt - glad I already saw the pyramids, they’ll be blown up soon
