President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama will be in Tucson Wednesday to attend the "Together We Thrive: Tucson and America" event at the McKale Memorial Center on the University of Arizona campus. The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. MST (8 p.m. EST) with doors opening at 4 p.m. MST (6 p.m. EST).
According to a university news release, organizers are expecting thousands of people to attend. If the 14,000-seat arena reaches capacity, overflow seating will be available at the university's football stadium. Video of the memorial will be shown on the scoreboard's big screen.

This is really bad. I have never in my life seen a or been to a memorial with cheering crowds. I would be ashamed to be in that crowd!

8:07pm ET... this is already appalling and disgusting with the many cheers, screeching, whistles and other outbursts from the crowd in this football stadium for Zero and Moochelle and the politically correct "Native American" doing the "blessing" (which is going on WAY too long, btw). It's another freakin' democRAT FUNERALLY. Where's the dignity this event deserves???
This is supposed to be a solemn occasion.. they should have set the solemn protocol up front: No hooting and hollering, whistling, foot-stamping, etc.
Imagine how the parents of the murdered little 9 year old girl feel right about now?
Wellstone was a member of the US Senate and a Democrat. It may have been very tacky, but he was one of theirs. These people were not politicians, just “ordinary” citizens, who were there to meet their elected representative. This does not honor them, it dishonors them IMO, it make their deaths seem like an excuse to celebrate and is completely inappropriate to occur like this. It does not show respect to them.
