Getting reports of a possible second shooter, and a federal judge having been shot also. Conflicting reports, do not have link or second source to confirm anything at this point. I’ll continue monitoring and report as can.
On FOX, Arizona State senator Linda Lopez just accused the Tea Party of fomenting hatred and anger against Gifford. Also saying that she has report of Gifford reacting to instructions from the Drs.
She also said that she has heard the shooter is an Afgan War Vet...
Shot went in Gifford’s temple and exited the other side, per Linda Lopez.
The Washington Post reporter is blaming Sarah Palin for the shooting..
“Suspect in custody, no known motive. Could be random but doesn’t sound like it given that she was holding an event with constituents. It sounds like an assassination attempt. Too early to say what this is about.

Exactly, pattijo. Human life is precious. This act was unconscionable. I can’t even imagine what her husband is going through right now. Dear Lord, be with him. And be with the doctors, giving wisdom, skill, and if You will, divine intervention on her behalf. I agree with Boehner that an attack on one is an attack on all.
Yeah it is Senators Only that can be appointed by the Gov and Legislature of a State to fill vacancies via the 17th (I thought the 2nd part of the Amendment dealt with both Houses.)

Wow, I hope that is true.
I don’t care about her politics (although it sounds like she was more Conservative than not), this is just bad. The same is true for the others wounded — I really hope they all survive.

So Obama will get to appoint a replacement.
