Republicans poised to take power in Congress are planning a rapid attack against a climate change initiative the Obama administration wants to launch on January 2, according to members of the Senate and House of Representatives.
Their resolve could harden further after President Barack Obama's Environmental Protection Agency announces a second layer of regulation, possibly as early as Thursday, ratcheting up Washington's fight against global warming.
"I think we ought to start with a two-year pause" in upcoming U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulations, said Representative Mike Simpson, the Republican who is expected to head a House panel that controls EPA's budget.

They are going to have their work cut out for them by fighting the tyranny from the left.
The EPA and the FCC are two places to start for 100% un-earmarks
Please allow me to make a slight adjustment to your thought on that. They like it because it allows one-stop lobbying, rather than lobbying "57 states," or 58 counties like in CA!!!
Merry Christmas, you old private property-loving fart. :-)
Best wishes to you and yours.
May your life extend long enough to pee on king obuma’s grave.
LOL, and you never hear of a “rabid” or “fire-breathing” liberal either;)
Merry Christmas yerself you ol Michigander! (grin)
How about imprisonment and hanging for the treacherous traitors that tried to foist this slavery upon us!!
” how about disolving the EPA?”
Yup, bury the details in a 2000 page bill and tell the dims, “You gotta pass it, to find out whats in it......(where have I heard that before?)...red
Trust but verify!!!
Don’t forget to include the the abolishment of the FCC which two days ago began to regulate the Internet and sensor content.
I meant, of course, “censor”.
I don't say there's NO difference.
In fact, in some cases, the differences are medium-sized.
However, in the critical-to-saving-the-nation issues, the differences are either tiny or non-existent.
Your example of the EPA is a good one.
The Environmental Protection Acts of 1971 were, and are, unconstitutional. The People of the United States delegated "all legislative powers herein granted" to a Congress, and We defined the process for making laws.
We did NOT authorize Congress to delegate any fraction of legislative power (we gave them ALL such powers) to any other entity.
The EPA was created by executive order of a Republican President, and the enabling legislation had overwhelming GOP support.
Ay Republican in Congress who does not favor repeal of all legislation pretending to confer any powers whatsoever on the EPA might as well be a Democrat.
we ARE their slaves .
The various government entities sieze nearly 60% of what I earn,
the only truly free man in the USA is the homeless derelict
technically, by stretching the interstate commerce clause, obama can regulate when you can go to the pottie or how much make up you wear or what color car you can drive
Deny funding to the EPA parasites
Congress can do this
This means denying funding to a vast Democrat bureaucracy
It is one of our only weapons left
The permanent Federal bureaucracy is overwhelming liberal so we have to starve this beast. They hate America. They hate the productive private sector that pays the taxes that pay their bloated salaries. Give them a jolt by defunding these people who are making war on us
Spot on! The House can do this.
In the event they cannot fully de-fund an agency they can stipulate limitations on funding, that that money NOT be used for specific projects or actions--and can criminalize that misuse as well.
BUMP!
I hear the talk, now let’s see the walk.
The real target of the FCC is to ban all conservative geared websites on the Internet, as well as all AM radio conservative talk-masters. The only option remaining would be shortwave radio broadcasts (maybe) and ham radio if these commies are allowed to enact their leftist totalitarianism.
