(CHICAGO ) - The Paiutes, a Native-American tribe indigenous to parts of Nevada, Utah and Arizona, told early white settlers about their ancestors' battles with a ferocious race of white, red-haired giants. According to the Paiutes, the giants were already living in the area.
Roaming, man-eating giants
The Paiutes named the giants Si-Te-Cah that literally means tule-eaters. The tule is a fibrous water plant the giants wove into rafts to escape the Paiutes continuous attacks.
They used the rafts to navigate across what remained of Lake Lahontan.
Giants roamed the Earth
According to the Paiutes, the red-haired giants stood as tall as 12-feet and were a vicious, unapproachable people that killed and ate captured Paiutes as food.
The legend
The Paiutes told the early settlers that after many years of warfare, all the tribes in the area finally joined together to rid themselves of the giants.
One day as they chased down the few remaining red-haired enemy, the fleeing giants took refuge in a cave. The tribal warriors demanded their enemy come out and fight, but the giants steadfastly refused to leave their sanctuary.
Frustrated at not defeating their enemy with honor, the tribal chiefs had warriors fill the entrance to the cavern with brush and then set it on fire in a bid to force the giants out of the cave.
The few that did emerge were instantly slain with volleys of arrows. The giants that remained inside the cavern were asphyxiated.

Hundreds of years later archaeologists explored the cavern near Lovelock, Nevada--the cave the Indians had described.
What the scientific researchers found was staggering: over 10,000 artifacts were unearthed including the mummified remains of two red-haired giantsone, a female 6.5-feet tall, the other male, over 8-feet tall.

Would you lay money on some mad scientist already haven grown one or more? On some remote island?
Gingers!
The story is accurate with what has been found in the cave. I was at the cave in October this year. The Paiutes have been telling this story for as long time as far as I can tell. It surfaces from time to time and then gets lost.
Cannibals, my you know what. Classic case of in war the winners write the history.
There is just enough nagging unexplained cases to keep me thinking Sasquatch is not TOTALLY a myth.
“actually, 611 is freak status. anything over 64 is disturbing.”
lol. lots of people are 6’11. In fact, if you’ve been to a big College career fair lately, the CIA guys they send out are like 6’10” at least. An interesting choice.
Of additional significance is the shape of the skulls, which are described as long and narrow, very unlike those of modern Native Americans.
The red-haired white giants have not all died out. My son-in-law in Sacramento is a mere 6’11” with pale white complexion and red hair. He is a Calvary Chapel pastor. He and his wife (my very beautiful brunette daughter) have three red-headed sons and a strawberry blonde daughter.
"Look out for snakes!"
Sounds like Vikings.
Red Haired Giant White Men ... must have been Scotsmen in the Liberals mind. LOL
Interestingly enough, among the artifacts were discovered a pair of orange, metallic hoops and a round ball made of the hide of a bison. Archaeologists speculate that these cultural remnants were employed in some sort of extremely primitive physical ritual during the winter months.
Yeah, ¨secreted¨ away. Why? (Masons or Jews, or some combination thereof I suspect.) I´d like to see these remains. I´m an Old Testament believer myself. But this is a bunch of hokum.
While there may be a bit of BS involved in it, the legend may ultimately be derived from the memory of ancient events.
If an ice age land bridge enabled men to cross from Siberia to Alaska, then could the same thing have happened between Scandinavia and Labrador? This raises the possibility of a large people group entering North America from the west clashing with a smaller people group entering from the east.
Archaeologists made a preliminary assumption to this strange people’s labor, hunting and primitive trade practices: large bonepits composed of smaller sapiens skeletons, and stone tablets hafted to sharpened stakes with inscriptions that roughly translate to ‘Will hang your Christmas lights cheap!’
Phooey!
Do a search on 'teh interwebs'. There have been many, many finds of giant human bones all over the world. Not only that, huge tools like a 65lb. sledgehammer found in a 3500 year old copper mine in Wales, giant axes, swords, etc. Nearly every culture's mythology speaks of fair skinned, red or blond haired giants. But, if you want to say one word that will send a conventional archeologist running in the opposite direction, it's 'giant'. It is simply too upsetting to the dominant Darwinian paradigm, and total career suicide to be associated with such a find.
A skull and cave artifacts from this story are in a tiny area-museum in Winnemucca. They don't live in the Smithsonian. The bones are ignored and neglected. Why are red-haired giants populating Lovelock Nevada area not investigated, histories rewritten, school texts changed? The real reason is that there are more questions than answers and it's destabilizing to have to consider larger, stronger, fair-skinned humans (not Neanderthals) all over the world, how that happened, and what happened to them. So we just ignore and ridicule and feel smug.
I have huge faith in the scientific process. But humans are often incapable of carrying it out. The frailties of human ego mean the 'truth' of 'science' is often a packaged set of conclusions that mobs of people become comfortable with and vested in. Conflicting evidence and those who bear it, are often shunned.
