[history]
But on Sunday, two days after federal law enforcement officials arrested Mohamed Osman Mohamud, 19, and accused him of plotting to bomb the square during a Christmas tree-lighting ceremony, it was more subdued.
Workers were preparing the brick-covered plaza for the 15th annual Holiday Ale Festival that starts on Wednesday. Private security officers patrolled the area. And visitors were still puzzled by the news of the plot.

They viscerally believe that being anti-Christian will protect them from Muslim terrorists.

At a news conference outside City Hall attended by the mayor and Muslim leaders, Kayse Jama, executive director of Portlands Center for Intercultural Organizing, condemned the bombing attempt. We left Somalia because of war, Mr. Jama said, and we would like to live in peace. Since the early 1980s, "intercultural" and "multicultural" on and around college campuses have been synonomous with "dhimmitude".

Why Portland? Portland was targeted because it is a white dominated city full of white libtards that pride themselves on inclusiveness and diversity with the resulting suspension of survival and common sense. It's easy pickin’s for a predator..

Muslim terrorist attack the weakest cities. I was appalled by the reaction from the people there. The muslims KNOW there is no fight in liberals whatsoever, so they are easy marks.

Yeah, you know, those Muslims that publicly reject the idea of violent jihad and killing or enslaving every infidel on the planet until everywhere in the world conforms to Sharia law.
Yeah, those Muslims.

THAT is the first hing I thought of. If he lived near Branson, MO, he would try to attack it.

City officials said they were also concerned about the safety of Portlands Muslim population. Maybe they should be more concerned about the non-Muslim population? A little fear amongst the Muzzies would probably be a good thing.

Who would want to bomb here?
That, in a nutshell, crystallizes what is wrong with liberalism today, and why some Americans will pay the ultimate price for it.

Sssshhh. Quiet please.
I think we’re intruding upon the aftermath of a mass Liberal Mugging.
Stand by for the conversion of at least some of ‘em to conservatives. As for the rest — we’ve got their attention anyway.

Many other American cities ~ with millions of people ~ have paid a heavy penalty for the bizarre coddling of terrorists that goes on in Portland.
John Mohamad had the DC area shut down for weeks with his random attacks ~ and he was from Portland. Even after 9/11 the former mayor Vera Katz regularly placed roadblocks in the way of authorities investigating the involvement of Portland's substantial Moslem community in 9/11 and other terroristic situations.

Who would want to bomb here? said Naoki Hirai, a 29-year-old from Japan who is a graduate student at Portland State University. Why Naoki, a nut-job moon-god cultist. Just because you are in one of the most liberal multicultural kumbaya enclaves in the United States doesn't protect you from the jihadis. In fact they probably hate you even more for all the bend-over acceptance.

Stupid people, jihadis hate us and want to kill us, ALL of us.
It doesn’t matter, liberal, conservative, Christian, Jew, black, white, man, woman, child.
Convert or die, that is the aim of global Jihad.

Why don't we ban immigration from Somalia? Why do we need more Somalis in the U.S.? By and large, allowing Somalis into the country seems to be akin to letting a rabid dog live in your house.
