"Lots of oppo research being rolled out on this thread."
As there should be. Conservatives need to fully vet anyone who puts their hat in the ring.
Have you mentioned who you support, perhaps?
I would support either Mike Pence, or Jim DeMint. Haley Barbour and Michelle Bachmann are other candidates that would get consideration. I like Bobby Jindal, but there may be eligibility issues in regards to whether he is a natural born citizen. If it he is found to be eligible, he would join my list of people to support as well. Right now I am in a wait and see mode as we do not know yet who will run. None of the so-called front runners are of interest to me.

“So I post some of my thoughts in hopes to find out what others think...”
Well, you accomplished your goal because I gave you what I think.
The snide remarks you read were not focussed on you directly, I was carful with my wording as to keep it from being personal..... unless they apply.
Then I directed this comment to you, “Instead, look at why she did it and what she has done for our country over the past two years.”. I find your response to that simple suggestion a bit over the top. Maybe you actually drank that Kool-Aid I was teasing you about.
As for your background... good for you. I served my country over 40 years ago when it wasn’t popular. I served my community for 30 years, now retired. I am a monthly donor to FR and I have never voted anything other than GOP.
Now, it was not my intention to bash you, specifically, but you’re probably going to be just as upset with this post as you were with the last one.
One more time: “Instead, look at why she did it and what she has done for our country over the past two years.” I know those words might further ruin your day, but it seemed like a reasonable suggestion to me.
I do want you to know that I appreciate your attempt to bond with me, but no, I won’t be kissing your ass.

I think this “reality” series is going to do more to endear Sarah to real Americans, opposite of what many of her detractors supposed... and hoped for... many of them even here on FR (I am convinced, in fact we know, that FR is stalked by operatives from other candidates).

No, but most politicians play this game.
What are you 10?
I figured the emails from EA would be a good excuse to use. I’d do that myself.

Jindal has grown, a lot, in the last year.
I’ve been impressed with his standing firm against the administration in the gulf, and I was honestly inspired listening to him interviewed a couple weeks ago.
Good guy. Much more sure of himself now.

Actually, Buchanan is an unabashed Palin admirer. He affectionately refers to her as Sister Sarah.
That said, she should probably avoid his endorsement... lol

This is my biggest problem with the Palin Cult: anyone who doesnt automatically agree or has misgivings about Gov. Palin is made the target of personal attacks.
Agreed.

A suggestion.
Might make you more credible criticizing Palin, if you were to do so from the standpoint of honestly identifying your own loyalties.
So as, to present who you prefer. Rather than simply criticize.
Just a thought.
To: indylindy
So she was for it before she was against it.
And Reagan signed a Pro-Abortion law as Governor in CA before he was adamantly against Abortion as President.
I gues he was for it before he was against it too, right?
Like I said, a JackAss sentiment and statement.
Grow up.
People change thier positions on the issues as they gain new information or find out the old information was incorrect.
They also modify their positions as they grow older and wiser.
Otherwise, we'd all be like Jesus, perfect in our knowledge and perfect in our morality from the day we were born.
Just more garbage from a PDS sufferer!.

I never mentioned Cap and Trade. I provided a link to her official support for the Law of the Sea Treaty, which gives unelected UN bureaucrats taxing authority for the first time, in addition to granting them control over most of the planet’s surface and a very large portion of its resources. I provided said link in response to a poster who was trying to make out like her support for LOST wasn’t true, when it clearly is.

algernonpj might be a Ron Paul guy, too.
It seems that most of the anti-Palin goofs who are too cowardly to admit who they are supporting are for:
Mitt Romney
Pat Buchanan
Ron Paul
Why won’t they come out of the closet? Are they ashamed?
To: streetpreacher
"She is arguing against "emission reduction policies" here. "
I will concede on that one. Still, she defended her creation of the sub panel on climate change in the same article. The EO announcing the creation of the sub panel clearly support the principle of cap and trade. She has attacked certain cap and trade policies, but never has denounced carbon caps in principle. That is like Mitt opposing Obama's health care mandates but supporting the notion of health care mandates.

"Commercializing Alaska's great natural gas reserves through a new pipeline will improve the nation's energy security while providing a clean, low carbon fuel to help the nation reduce its overall greenhouse gas emissions. " That is the only support she showed in that order for anything .
The Order forms a committee to study and make recommendations
I actually appreciate the opposition research on the Governor - but it must be fair and honest.

I agree with you that this is problematic. Purism or not. Sarah needs to denounce her support for LOST... and by that, I don’t mean that dreadful television series.
