Funny how we don’t see any "I support Romney" threads anywhere...

Notice how tokyo rove demands that Sarah must unite the Republicans, but he neglects to make the same demand on romney, who will have a hard time winning over the pro-Sarah Republicans and Independents.

Actually I think the real problem is we split our conservative vote between too many candidates, and the establishment RINO then wins by a plurality.

It happens every election cycle; we all get fired up about different conservatives, and then start bickering back and forth about who is “more’ conservative, strengthening our resolve to ‘not compromise’ our ‘principles’.

All the while the establishment candidate is racking up delegates and moving toward the nomination.

See: Nixon, Ford, Bush, Dole, Bush, McCain, and now Romney.

I am sick of the RINO parade and would really like a real conservative this time.

I honestly think we need to come together early behind a single conservative and keep our conservative base strong and united.

This will be very hard to do with the various factions of conservatives.

To me that candidate is Sarah Palin, but if we split our votes and dilute our power, we will hand the nomination to the establishment RINO, just as we did in 2008.

I’m thinking a vote in the primaries for anyone but Sarah is a defacto vote for Romney.

Actually, the people who were Bush supporters on the Dose were the polar opposite of "groupthink." So I guess 'everyone' doesn't know that. (If anything the 'groupthinkers' on this forum hate President Bush. Those of us who are discerning enough to admire him while not agreeing with everything he did are very independent of any so-called group. We, in the end, were the ones who were thinking for ourselves and not swayed by peer pressure).

The admiration expressed there was not 'cultist' either, as the people there were and are intelligent, independent-thinking, conservative, perceptive and at least the vast majority, very, very Christian. In fact, one of the most cutting ad hominems and the most baseless personal attacks against us was that of 'idolatry' and 'worship'. An instant way to demean a Bush supporter while setting oneself up as a spiritual superior. Very ugly.

"Cult" is a no-go.

And your parallel with Nixon is beyond absurd. As a well-aware, political animal, conservative Republican, I was horrified by what Nixon did, and his lack of character and courage.

So that's three strikes against you, streetpreacher. You're out. Completely wrong across the board.

Perhaps you should think twice about attacking this thread and Palin supporters too. Making comments without thinking is one of your weaknessess, IMO. And thinking is a critical part of conservatism.

She did not finish her term as governor. She abandoned her office. Even among those who like and support her politics, that is/will be a big perceptual problem to overcome.

The Karl Rove talking points. Boring...

So she was for it before she was against it?

I got it.

IMHO we cannot afford to take any chances in 2012. Too many of us took a blind chance in 2008! Governor Palin is openly considering a run. I would be for her if she picks Conservatives such as Duncan L. Hunter as her running mate, with John Bolton as SOS. She is the most visible of possibilities. She has another book out, and so does Congressman Hunter. “Victory in Iraq, How We Won the War” is now available. I hope voters will read it. The stakes are monumental!
If, like Reagan, Governor Palin is directed to choose a One World-er as V.P., her presidency would be just a blip in America’s descent into Communism.

Amen. Remember how a great candidate named Ross Perot caused the GOP to lose to Bill Clinton???

She appears to be for it, ad for the Law of the Sea Treaty as well.

Freerepublic is a site visited by very passionate, knowledgable and outspoken members.

Your assertion is so factually incorrect that I question your affiliations.

Pols quit political office to pursue a higher calling all the time.

In fact that's what most people do both in and out of politics.

Some Politicians wait until they have won a new political office before they quit their old office. I believe that to be unethical.

Other politicians quit their office before they win a new office, specifically to prepare to run for that new office. That to me is more ethical.

Andrew Jackson comes to mind as one who did that. Palin might be another.

“Rove has severe issues with women that are rooted in his divorce or closeted homosexuality or both.”

I am not pleased with some of Rove’s political analysis either, but this type of comment (perhaps a bit of pop psychology and plain ad hominem) tends to reflect on all here in a negative way.

Rove is a coward. And his misogynistic rage towards Palin is making him even more unbalanced and he will become a big liability to Romney in the near future. Don’t be surprised if his rage manifests itself in a very public and unpleasant way.

I luv your pic.

Gov. Palin did an interview with Dennis Miller and they were joking about Todd or Track flying and landing AF1 in Alaska in order to save money.

Lucky for her, she has the truth on her side.

Once people see how the paid Obama operatives were harassing her with phony ethics lawsuits, sometimes filling them using cartoon character names, they will understand how she did it to frustrate the devious Alinsky tactics that were bankrupting her family and stifling her administration.

She was literally spending ALL her time defending these frivolous suits, so she selflessly took herself out of the equation.

To say she 'quit' implies she was just lazy or didn't care. That is obviously not true. People resign for many reasons, sometimes very noble ones, and she will have plenty of opportunity to explain exactly what the liberals were doing and how she was able to advance her agenda in spite of their efforts.
