Sarah Palin never claimed she could see Russia from her house that was Tina Fey but she went one better on Glenn Beck's radio show in discussing the tensions in the Korean Peninsula and saying: "We've got to stand with our North Korean allies".
A transcript of the radio show reads:
Interviewer: How would you handle a situation like the one that just developed in North Korea?
Palin: Well, North Korea, this is stemming from a greater problem, when we're all sitting around asking, 'Oh no, what are we going to do,' and we're not having a lot of faith that the White House is going to come out with a strong enough policy to sanction what it is that North Korea is going to do. So this speaks to a bigger picture that certainly scares me in terms of our national security policy. But obviously, we've got to stand with our North Korean allies we're bound to by treaty....
Interviewer: South Korean.
Palin: Yes, and we're also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes.

And here is a fantastic speech on the floor of the House by Michelle Bachman:

Note that she’s a VERY articulate and effective speaker WITHOUT NOTES FOLKS!
I’m sorry, but I just don’t see Palin able to deliver the same as Bachman just did in that video. No run-on bizarre sentences, etc.
Watch that Michelle Bachman video and honestly ask yourself if Palin could deliver that sponaneous speech without notes and without odd pauses and poorly-constructed sentences.
I so dispise Greedy Liberal Marxists that I think we need a far more articulate speaker than Palin to be able to go up against President Narcissus and his liberal swine.
Speaking of the Dan Quayle standard, I want to deal with one of those criticisms in the original article that's fallen by the wayside: the claim that Sarah Palin didn't know how the Federal Reserve Sysytem worked back in '08.
...James Tobin, one of the foremost economists advising John Kennedy on how to project his profiles of economic omniscience, has revealed that on Inauguration Day the newly elected president needed tutoring on the workings of the Federal Reserve, presumably so he could better plan our vastly complex world economy.
Granted that 2010 is not 1961, but John F. Kennedy made it all the way to the White House without knowing how the Fed works.
But, of course, there's that old Dan Quayle standard. "Senator, I served with Jack Kennedy, I knew Jack Kennedy, Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine. Senator, you're no Jack Kennedy." (Lloyd Bensen, 1988.)
(The quoted tidbit comes from Jack D. Douglas, The Myth of the Welfare State.)
“Now you’re talking.”
LOL. Bad judgment on Joe’s part (MAYBE), but not a mix-up.
The comment to Stephanopolous regarding his “muslum faith”....was presumed a slip of the tongue by the MSM. No one dared question it. The context of the entire comment by Palin makes it clear she was speaking of the treaty with South Korea.
LOL, I saw the title and thought this was something real. But it was just a word stumble.
Big freaking deal. (yawn)
I will vote for her every chance I get.
However, how smart do you REALLY have to be to be POTUS?
I say proper grounding and an average IQ is all it takes.
Almost comically pathetic how the koolaid drinking members of her cult of personality wont stop defending her. Inability to answer a question about what she reads, endosring John McCain, not being able to cite a specific Supreme Court case, abdicating her duties as governor to become a TV star, exploiting her kids on TV like Kate Gosselin or Hulk Hogan. I apologize if I’ve missed something. I’d find it humorous if Obama weren’t laughing all the way to another 4 years should the dunces nominate her.
The difference between her and obama is that if he had said North Korean allies, he would have meant it.
“Now shes done”
No she’s not - just cause she and the interviewer said ‘North Korea (correct), North Korea (correct), North Korea (correct), North Korean allies (incorrect) in the space of 10 seconds?
Does it count - see onyx post above - that Sarah Palin has oft referred to our South Korean allies in speeches not long ago?
Why and how is she ‘done’ then?
But what did she say about the issue bedides "stand with our ally"? That's a non-answer.
Yes you’d be better off nominating someone from the wing of the party that, along with the left, has bankrupted America. Makes perfect sense.
It is far more egregious when you consider that his father was the first chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
He was a worthless rich boy who wouldn't have gotten anywhere near the White House if it hadn't been for his Dad's bootleg money, mob connections, political favors, and an already left-leaning press.
Who's your choice for 2012? Very easy to tear down after a miscue. Not that easy to build up. I support DeMint, Paul Ryan, Rubio or Palin - and will defer to the wisdom and will of the American people.
I wanna know who youth supports and why...I’ll be waiting for that.
There is no difference. The interviewer helpfully interrupted Palin with South Korea.
That was one amazing speech.
