The TSA does what it does to keep us SAFE.

Citizens who drive run a gauntlet of Law Enforcement to keep them SAFE.

How many people would support dismantling the local traffic patrols? Not many. People start wailing about saving lives.

U.S. citizens are very supportive of authoritarian law enforcement. The equation of safety and acceptance of tyranny is decided.

When it begins to intersect as large a segment of the public like this... well they say a liberal is a conservative who has been raped, or something like that.

Bullshit.

Traffic enforcement is done with 'probable cause' criteria and standard police limitations (although DUI issues are a marked deviation from this, I will grant you).

But this is WITHOUT probable cause, WITHOUT warrant, and WITHOUT police limitations. Lawsuits are proscribed, all Constitutional protections are discarded, and no recourse and remedy is available.

Apples and Oranges.

What TSA ,EPA ,FCC, etc. are doing is tyranny, typical government.

The TSA, EPA etc. must be abolished.

The airlines are private property. They must be allowed to provide their own security and let people choose what kind of security they want. That is called freedom = capitalism = the free market. Socialism is what the TSA is doing now which is against freedom and is statism and doesn't work.

What you are doing is socialist propaganda.

You are a statist. How can you be allowed to post such socialist , statist propaganda on a conservative site?

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. The TSA is not doing this to keep us safe. If it was about keeping us safe, they would have begun doing it immediately following the underwear-bomber's attempt last December. No, this is about power and control. It started up immediately following Obama's election loss. Obama blamed the loss on the American people, bemoaning the fact that they were not accustomed to this much government intrusion. So how better to make one accustomed?

How many airplane bombing attempts have the TSA thwarted up until this point? Answer: zero. Yet it was passengers that stopped the shoe bomber, and passengers again that stopped the underwear bomber. Yet for the last two weeks, it is the passenger that is being treated like a criminal. No, this isn't about safety at all. It's about government-sponsored thuggery and intimidation.

I feel safer walking the streets of Ramadi or Baghdad.

There were minimal complaints before the changes made earlier this month....so few are advocating for the dismantling of the TSA. People are questioning whether the intrusive tactics are even effective....the undie bomber’s explosives would not have been detected by the full body scanners and he got on in Europe. This is about money, power, and conditioning the citizenry. Read some Jefferson...Government big enough to give you everything you want is strong enough to take everything you have. That relates to safety/security and liberty. In my opinion liberty is the citizenry’s most valuable asset and it is being reduced daily.
Regarding law enforcement, you must not live where there are “photo-enforced” red light cameras. Everyone HATES THE CAMERAS and feel they cause more accidents—they are there for REVENUE, not safety....Traffic control is getting out of hand, too.

I’m sure you’ve already been reamed out - but the distinctions here are so obvious even I get them. I am not randomly stopped by police officers... ever. The last time I was pulled over (it’s been about 10 years) I had expired tags. When they pulled me over they didn’t ask me where I was going, search my car, and (most obviously) didn’t freaking take full digital scan of my body or grope my groin.

Probable cause is necessart in order to search anyone Tus is the law. If there is a search wiyt=thout probable cause , it is a violation of the 4th amendment of the constitution. These are warrantless seacrhes perpetrated by a civil agency with no law enforcement status. They are jack booted, ill educated thugs, designed by Obama to use fascist intrusion to make Americans insecure in their persons. Its conditioning. It is not about safety. EFF Obama and the TSA. This is controlled institutionalized violence perpetrated on innocent Americans. It won't take much to ignite it into warfare, it has to stop. And the TSA evolution towards being jack booted thugs has to stop. Soon these TSA janitors will be armed.
