$11,000 fine, arrest possible for some who refuse airport scans and pat downs

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is warning that any would-be commercial airline passenger who enters an airport checkpoint and then refuses to undergo the method of inspection designated by TSA will not be allowed to fly and also will not be permitted to simply leave the airport.

That person will have to remain on the premises to be questioned by the TSA and possibly by local law enforcement. Anyone refusing faces fines up to $11,000 and possible arrest.

"Once a person submits to the screening process, they can not just decide to leave that process," says Sari Koshetz, regional TSA spokesperson, based in Miami.

FACT: Had this naked scanning and groping of nuns, children & grandma by TSA occurred under George Bush, the dems & msm would have gone totally BESERK...

As C. Krauthammer opined: “Don’t Touch My Junk” is the new “Don’t Tread on Me”

Ya know Janet...

JANET_1

I know this is terribly inconvenient for you and your "Terribly Sexually Anxious" goons...

******

Yet--
The U.S. Constitution offers every citizen this wonderful guarantee called "due process"--

And once I get you in a REAL court of AMERICAN law --
...instead of your kangaroo court with an "administrative law judge" that lives in your hip pocket...
...[BOGUS & FAIL]...

I am going to prevail with amazing ease...

Then I will enjoy having your sex-crazed TSA feeler-uppers arrested under state law for assault & molestation...

Then I will sue all of you in civil court--
...and let your payments for awarded damages keep me comfortable for a long time.

So, is there a specific Federal law that specifies this authority to detain and fine, or are they just making this up?

Looks like TSA’s goons are daring the American people to say “NO” to their molestation.

If you don't comply then you can't fly. All this talk is silly.

Well, my hubby had a good answer for this. I was completely outraged. He said, just don’t fly. Well that’s fine for me. As far as I know I have no need to ever fly again. But, many people have no choice. This is nothing more then legal molestation. And if my memory serves me right, many in the Jewish community were put through something similar, of course it was worse but, they were told to strip off all of their clothes in the death camps. Everything was taken from them. When they scan you it is virtually the same thing. If you ask me this is being done, not for our safety, but, to get us use to obeying whatever the government says we are going to do. I am reading and hearing that the scatter back machines are going to be used at the DMV and other government offices at some point down the road. I am so mad I can see straight. The very idea that the government can jail you, fine you an outrage fine, molest you at will and we are suppose to stand and take it. THIS IS NOT GOVERNMENT BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE. This is total government control.

I am aware of who usually owns airport facilities, and that has no bearing on the discussion. Shoplifting is a local/state offense. State laws do not speak to airport security screening, therefore the state/local law enforcement have no place in that system. Refusing to have some perv oogle your nude photo or grope your junk isn't proof of a crime, nor would it rise to the level of reasonable suspicion. And reasonable suspicion of what? Trying to bring down an airliner? That isn't going to fly (bad pun intended).

We the People are pissed. Get used to it.

What merits investigation is virtual strip searches, or if you refuse that, a physical grope that exceeds what an officer is permitted to do without arresting you first, all without the slightest probable cause.

That people would face that and decline to have their rights violated in a process that has ONLY resulted in arrests for contrband and not a single terrorist doesn’t merit investigating the refusal. What merits investigation is the illegal searches in the first place.

Do it or we arrest you? Ahh, the land of the free.

You got that right. There is no real outrage from the press and none from the Dems, with only a few Republicans speaking out. This is the ruling class putting their foot on our throats,

They hate us. No coincidence this came right after the elections.

“If we were actually screening potential terrorists, the rule would make pretty good sense.”

Then by that logic we should just shoot anyone trying to flee the scene. Better yet, we should shoot anyone that refuses to go to the airport and “volunteer” for screening. In fact, that means we would screen everyone every day to ensure they are not avoiding the airport and shoot anyone that has not been screened in the past 24 hours.

Incrementalism is the tool of tyrants.

Big sign. Post on the walls next to the security point entry:

$11,000 fine if you turn around to leave.

Yes, and it can’t be easy to change your mind and leave when you don’t have your wallet and keys. They have that, you’re almost sure to stick around until they are pleased to give you back your essentials.

Just don’t fly. Go there to protest, but take backup: spare wallet and a buddy with means to drive you home, and someone to make the recordings of the goings-on.

Strike a blow for liberty and either go prepared to gum it up...or don’t fly.

Protest somehow, or at least withhold your financial support.

Using the micro expression method to determine a threat would cause me to get the "probe" search every time.

I get panic attacks. I radiate that on my face.... and it causes others to view me suspiciously. I get followed in stores by security and harassed at the airport. Really pisses me off.

On the reverse side, there are people who are complete sociopaths that do not exhibit any emotions on their faces. I would bet you'd find more terrorists that fit that type... Some folks do not fit into the standard mold that these behavior tests are designed for.

Welcome to yet more Soviet Amerika. Just another reason I refuse to fly any more. If I can't drive there, I ain't going. I refuse to go through that crap any more. The last time was my LAST TIME! I got sick of it. If you must and have to fly, you have my sincere condolences. Otherwise, this kid stays in the expensive gas vehicle.

Unfortunately, the submissive behaviour was from both Dems and Republicans. Sen DeMint in particular, the hero of the Tea Party movement, was sickening his worshipful praise of 'Cardinal' Pistole.

"Cardinal" Pistole high profile cases: John S. Pistole

........"Pistole has led or been involved in several high profile investigations, including the attempted car bombing in Times Square on May 1, 2010; the December 25, 2009, attempted attack on Northwest Flight 253; the plot against New York City subways in 2009; the 2006 UK liquid explosives plot; and the May 2003 suicide bombings of three housing compounds in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in which 35 people died, including nine Americans.........

............. In 1999, as Assistant Special Agent in Charge, Boston, he helped lead investigation and recovery efforts for the Egypt Air Flight 990 crash off the coast of Rhode Island."............

In fact, wouldn't the groping of a Muslim man's wife or child cause him to go over the edge and carry out such an act? Aren't we creating terrorists with this policy?

Pistole said there would be no religious opt out for either the scan or a pat down

HOWEVER

He never stated whether the pat down inflicted on moslem females and children would be the EXACT SAME ONE inflicted on the rest of us, or the CAIR-approved method, wherein the moslem females pat down their own head and neck, and have their hands tested for chemicals, and apparently that's it.No hands on search, no nude scan.THEY get to keep their dignity intact.

So are moslem females subject to the same degradations as all other females, or was Pistole's comments about no religious opt outs weasel words?

Who knows. The Obama admin, with the compliance of the Congress, has let the individual departments create all sorts of rules and regulations.

The economy is in deep doo-doo.

They need all the money they can get.

So it’s a two pronged attack. They’re counting on the fact that most people who are flying need to get somewhere and don’t want to not get there and waste the ticket money and ruin their holidays.

And they’re counting on the fine and threat of an arrest record to cow the rest of the people who can’t afford either.

Especially if it’s a felony. That gets to your rights to own guns and vote.
