That's what frightens me about the Clintons - they are master politicians. Remember, we here on FR are not the norm, the dullards can be swayed rather easily.

I wouldn't put too much stock in the Clinton's vaunted "masterful" political skills. Bubba is out stumping for Democrats and couldn't even fill a high school gym the other day.

Remember that they lost to the most bumbling and incompetent moron to ever hold the office of president.

My sister is a public school teacher. She was always Republican. Now? Well, we hardly speak anymore, she’s been totally brainwashed to the dark side.

Damn shame. My condolences.

My dad did much the same thing, when he followed his second wife into the Democrat party, after having been raised in a Republican household. Point is, he never knew WHY he was a Republican. He simply voted the way his family did. He was easy pickings for his uber-liberal wife.

Perhaps that's true of your sister, as well.

“Soon we will all have to go back to making our own margarine in a squeeze bag! (Only the senior citizens will remember this.)”

As a young girl I would go on ‘Midnight Margarine Runs’ with Mom & Grandma as we snuck across the Illinois Border to buy EVIL margarine which was ILLEGAL in Wisconsin at the time.

If I was A Good Girl on the trip from Milwaukee and back, I’d get to stir in the yellow color packets the next morning, LOL!

I was ALWAYS a Good Girl, but I was obviuosly corrupted and taught to disobey STUPID laws even way back when! :)

The Dems will be removing Pelosi from speaker even if they retain the House somehow.

And all of Free Republic will be doing the happy dance on that day!

Look if he is going to blab like that on a forum, he is going to get flack. He should SFTU.

Oh, alright. You're right, if we're all veewwy veeewwwy quiet and pwetend, overqualified people will have jobs galore.

Real people are hurting and to hear this is outrageous.

Might as well be outraged at the weather. It just is. What are you doing about it other than flinging spittle in futility?

I don't want to hear the musings of wife beaters either.

That's ironic, since you've sounded like nothing so much as one on this thread.

The crapholes that would rather hire an illegal alien than just about anyone else are over this place.

There have been quite a few in the past. Not so many anymore. I don't hire illegal aliens. Do you?

Tell me I'm wrong.

You're wrong.

Like I said, you are a creep. What's new. Most people in business get what goes around. If you want to create a million young professional DEMOCRATS? Keep this sh1t up. A college grad, trying to survive until the worst is over, can't get a job as a burger flipper. Sounds like a recipe for creating a new generation of socialists. Nice work Captain's of industry.

Why don’t you just go and hire that fictional former CEO for your imaginary taco stand in the sky, as if you’ve ever had an employee in your life, you screeching little schoolgirl.

You literally can’t handle the truth. You’re seriously delusional. I certainly hope you have a job, because if you ever pull the crap you’ve pulled on this thread out in the real world, you’ll be hauled out by security and met by police. You sound like nothing so much as a union thug out on strike whining about “the company.”

I don’t believe for one second you’re a native Virginian. You do not sound well, not well at all. Get a grip or get some help.

Good points all!

I just would feel better about the entire situation if some garlic, wooden stakes and garlic could be used to get rid of them once and for all.

Have you read, ‘How Starbucks Saved My Life?’ Forget that it’s Starbucks - I found it really touching and a great account of how a man who ‘had it all’ and screwed it up, came to terms with where HIS CHOICES IN LIFE led him. He also learned a helluvalot about the people that worked beside him and truly WERE pulling themselves up by their bootstraps and rising up despite the ‘cr@p sandwich’ they had been handed by life & circumstance.

(You’ll understand my ‘bolding’ if/when you read it.)

My greatest fear was to climb up so high on the Food Chain that I actually FORGOT my Blue Collar roots. I mean, I’ve been in the military (and rose through the ranks at an alarming pace) and in Corporate America (which I really, REALLY hated) and then in my 40’s I just came back to my roots and did what everyone else in my family did - found a way to make cold, hard cash doing what we LOVE and were designed to do; hands-on grunt work.

Is there REALLY any other way to live? :)

Thanks for your condolences. Like I remind Mom, at least one of her kids can walk and chew gum at the same time.

So, you've experienced the “transformation” of a family member? Sorry to hear that.

I suppose she was easy pickings; she was no where near as passionate about Republican as the rest of family is. She can wallow in her misery next week (hehehe...)!

On to victory!!!

I guess you don’t go on Lost Cause threads, because central_va is prominent on them, forever decrying the death of the slaveocracy. Seeing that he supports governments strong enough to enforce slavery, it is not surprising that he doesn’t believe in free enterprise in this century either.

Lol, it’s not your choice and it never will be. You just exemplified why losers like you remain unemployed and why when you do get a job, you never make it into management.

I wouldn’t hire you to empty Fluffy’s litter box.

No loss, really. My dad is a wonderful man, but he's pretty clueless about the basic differences between the two major parties. His political education consists mostly of liberal Democrat talking points and indoctrination. He doesn't have a clue what conservatives and the Republican party really stand for.

The only person in my family who's really transformed, is me. In the entire clan, I'm the sole conservative (although I do have one brother who votes straight R). The rest are all liberals of varying degrees.

I've long passed the point of my political isolation in the family being a bother to me. I think I stopped being bothering by it about a week after I first escaped the Democrat plantation. LOL

I sincerely hope they were all watching 60 Minutes last night, when they ran the report about the real unemployment numbers. They're all in California, where the real unemployment number is 22%. They've got to know that this is the result of the Hope & Change they voted for.

I can only imagine how bummed they're all going to be next Tuesday.

I've had a strong sense for some time now, that we're going to reach a point in time when something similar to that will happen in this country.

In a nutshell, I think the American people are going to come to grips with the real threat of leftist ideology, and ban it entirely. Some folks might call that a suppression of free thought, choice, etc., but leftist ideals and practices have proven to be a very real cause of debilitating injury to the republic and her people during our recent history.

I think it's high time that we recognized it for what it really is, and treat it and it's proponents as the enemies they are.

I am a professional engineer, I only hire professionals. There is no such thing as OVERQUALIFIED in my line of work. Actually the opposite is true.

But the landscape company owners and taco stand operators on Free republic crack me up. Like your stupid jobs you need filled are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO important you can't have somebody with a brain doing it. No you guys only hire idiots.

You guys are serious ego maniacs and delusional. Intimidated by a person with a college degree. Not like any of you captains of business probably ever stepped foot into a university. I can tell low class thinking when I come across it. I've hit nerve with the hire the "illegal alien" crowd here. It is hilarious. Like I said what comes around goes around.

like you remain unemployed

Last year, I made a salary in the six figures. Not fantastic but I am doing ok. I feel lucky.

It is depressing to me however, if I were ever in need my fellow FR American "captains of industry", who run taco stands, wouldn't hire me. I guess people like me intimidate them. I just enjoying getting into discussion with the little small thinking mind, It can be amusing.

PS These same "Captains of Industry" make fun of people on unemployment.

It should pain you to read your own replies here.

You don' think, you emote and react and throw tantrums. I don't believe you're a professional anything at all, and I certainly don't believe you've ever hired a soul in your life.

I’m a southerner and have participated in those threads in the past. I’ve defended my people and my state against a very unfair historical depiction. That war was about far more than slavery. That is neither here nor there at this point, though.

That said, this person is a satire of a sullen, backwoods ignoramus. It’s a POE, in my opinion. Look it up if you’re unfamiliar. I know southerners and I know Virginians. This isn’t one.

Yawn. Believe what you want. If you are a true small business man, you live in a world of the uneducated employee, requiring no creativity what so ever. It is usually a stressful sad little low class world.

I work with creative educated people, I couldn't deal with sh1t you have to. I have enjoyed this discussion but really what else do we have to say to each other?
