I just received notice from my insurance company that I will have no medical coverage for hospital procedures or for doctor's payments in 2011. Just prescription coverage only.
I can pay anywhere from minimum of less than $15.00 a month to maximum of nearly $120.00 a month, but there is still NO MEDICAL COVERAGE on any of the plans offered.
This is a major insurer.
Is this what we can thank Obamacare for? {NOT!!!!!!}
Are any plans paying for medical coverage?
Guess I must make some kind of choice starting November 15th
No. Our plan in California remains the same, only more expensive. What state are you in?
Three plans are offered. The mid-ramge monthly premium is just about $45.00 a month.
This is scary.
Stupid state north of you.
Yes, AARP’s own Secure Horizons has informed me that as of year’s end, my plan will no longer exist,
I bet this is going to become more and more common. This was the whole goal of Obamacare, force people into a government controlled system.
The AARP helped bring it about
And to think of it — AARP solidly back Obamacare and abortion.
Alternatives to AARP
— Association of Mature American Citizens http://www.amac.us/
— American Seniors Association http://www.americanseniors.org/
— The 60 Plus Association info@60plus.org
— Conservative 50 Plus https://fs7.formsite.com/C4Strategies/form229651181/secure_index.html
How sweet it is that everyone will be receiving notices about changes in their coverage within a couple of weeks before the election.
And to think of it AARP solidly backed Obamacare and abortion.
What do you get in its place?
Oh don’t worry. Ron Wyden has your back with the Oregon Health Plan. sarc
I have a copy of the 2011 Health Insurance program sent out by the Chevron Corporation. On page 23 it states:
On average your cost increase will be between 24% and 32% for 2011
I suspect most other corporations are sending out the same good news to their employees this month.
These increases are due to ObamaCare for such things as forcing the corporations to insure 26 year old children of their employees.
Hopefully, the electorate will put two and two together and vote against the Democrats who made this monstrosity possible.
Ohhh, but Obamie said that “If you like your plan, you can keep it”.
Of course, he did not say that you would like it, or that
there might not be any plan left to keep.
You are referring to the Medicare Advantage plans?
Those vary by state and also vary from year to year.
Last year, one of the major carriers in my state changed from PFFS to HMO. They skipped over my geographical area, so I had to go with another carrier.
I noticed that this year (for 2011), their HMO will now cover my area. If I select their plan, my doctor co-pay will drop. It is $15 for 2010, but increasing to $20 for 2011 with my current plan. The HMO doctor co-pay will be $5.
I’m in CA. Have not heard yet what to expect from Aetna re individual policy, already priced thru the roof for minimal coverage.
They got permission from the State this past summer to jack up the rates a lot, so I’m waiting to hear. If it’s too high, I’m dropping it. If they are cancelling all except pharmacy I’m certainly not interested. What a total fiasco this has become!!!!
Every day more and more comes out about Obamacare and how healthcare companies and employers are dealing with it.
Boeing just announced its 90,000 employees will have to pay a LOT more for their coverage. Oh, that will leave a mark!!!!! I can hear the employees screaming from here!
the organizations that were pro-Obamacare were those who thought they could line up to “become” the government option...like Kaiser.
No, but on a related note Penelec (Pennsylvania) owned by First Energy (Ohio) announced electricity rate hikes of 18 or 19% effective Jan.1, 2011. But it’s less than expected!
Thank God there’s no inflation.
I knew this hike was coming years ago from our former state rep. Our real nightmare here in PA is the upcoming pension crisis (which is just starting to hit the fan). All the other states have seen or will see the powers to be wield their demands on the taxpayers. This won’t end pretty.
But, it will end.
I would suggest that the GOP come out full bore, guns blazzing with something like:
