Appreciate your feedback.

Are any plans paying for medical coverage?

Guess I must make some kind of choice starting November 15th

No. Our plan in California remains the same, only more expensive. What state are you in?

Three plans are offered. The mid-ramge monthly premium is just about $45.00 a month.

This is scary.

I bet this is going to become more and more common. This was the whole goal of Obamacare, force people into a government controlled system.

How sweet it is that everyone will be receiving notices about changes in their coverage within a couple of weeks before the election.

I have a copy of the 2011 Health Insurance program sent out by the Chevron Corporation. On page 23 it states:

“”On average your cost increase will be between 24% and 32% for 2011””

I suspect most other corporations are sending out the same “good” news to their employees this month.

These increases are due to ObamaCare for such things as forcing the corporations to insure 26 year old children of their employees.

Hopefully, the electorate will put two and two together and vote against the Democrats who made this monstrosity possible.

You are referring to the Medicare Advantage plans?

Those vary by state and also vary from year to year.

Last year, one of the major carriers in my state changed from PFFS to HMO. They skipped over my geographical area, so I had to go with another carrier.

I noticed that this year (for 2011), their HMO will now cover my area. If I select their plan, my doctor co-pay will drop. It is $15 for 2010, but increasing to $20 for 2011 with my current plan. The HMO doctor co-pay will be $5.

No, but on a related note Penelec (Pennsylvania) owned by First Energy (Ohio) announced electricity rate hikes of 18 or 19% effective Jan.1, 2011. But it’s less than expected!

Thank God there’s no inflation.

I knew this hike was coming years ago from our former state rep. Our real nightmare here in PA is the upcoming pension crisis (which is just starting to hit the fan). All the other states have seen or will see the powers to be wield their demands on the taxpayers. This won’t end pretty.

But, it will end.

You won't find any significant medical coverage for the $120 per month you're talking about. Actually, some states allow companies like "Joe's Insurance Company" to promise you medical coverage, but if you get sick, you'll find out that their home office is somewhere in the Carribean and their claims department is an answering service in Bangladesh.

Look into catastrophic coverage with large deductibles. That's where most folks will wind up as more and more employers get out of the health coverage business.

My cousin just received notice his employer will no longer provide him with health insurance as a benefit - beginning immediately.
He is in his mid-30’s. Three young children.

The first person in our family to become a victim of Obamacare.
My parents are sitting nervously on a Medicare Advantage plan that would very much like to keep.

Call your Congressman and Senators and tell them that you will be in their offices for your check up or when you’re barfing from the flu. You expect them to provide you immediate health care since they took your other coverage away in their quest for power.

Guess it’s time to ask for an “exemption.”

One other possibility I forgot to mention is ACORN-Plus. It's offered by a private company, but it receieves some sort of government subsidy. I'm not sure of the financing details, but it costs about $350/month for full coverage, no deductibles, but a $7.50 copay for hospitalizations (any hospital) and prescriptions. No copay for doctor visits. The doctors all love the coverage.

I think you have to be a "Premium Member" of ACORN to qualify for the coverage.

I haven't seen anything about changes in my plan or my wife's, but I know that laws vary by state.

Our current plan was dropped by the employer because of the price increase ,,last years 2nd tier plan is now the best available .. it now costs more than last years “best” plan.

I can pay anywhere from minimum of less than $15.00 a month to maximum of nearly $120.00 a month, but there is still NO MEDICAL COVERAGE on any of the plans offered.

Probably need to add 1 or 2 zeros to that - you can probably find medical coverage for $1200 to $1500 a month.

I'm ticked that I have to read about all this health insurance stuff on FR. Where is the GOP?

About 100 House members and Senators should be on the steps of the Capitol Bldg. holding a screaming shout-out in front of TV cameras about all the pernicious things that are going to rain down on the folks in a very short period of time.

Ya know, like all the little monstrous details that are leaking out one at a time!

I wonder if our Republican representatives have even read the damn Health Bill yet!

Where is their outrage?

I don't even hear crickets chirping.
