"Suzana Vidovic found her sister's body hanging over the front lawn. The family watched, she said, as the girls who had tormented Sladjana for months walked up to the casket -- and laughed.

"They were laughing at the way she looked," Suzana says, crying. "Even though she died."

Good God. These children today are not only relently vicious, but violent.

This makes one want to cry. The liberals have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams: we have become a nation without a moral compass.

Public schools are run with the same philosophy as penitentiaries.

Children have always been brutal savage amoral animals. I was one of them not all that long ago. It used to be adults controlled them and helped channel that energy. Not the case now a parent can’t spank a child without cps knocking on his door and the schools just throw them out or ignore the problem.

Not to say that the kids who did this are blameless. They should be horse whipped.

Perhaps the school could put them through a little nondirective values clarification. Oh, they already took that and passed?

Very sad.

When the family tried to retrieve records about their reports of bullying, school officials told them the records were destroyed during a switch to computers. The family sued in August.

I've heard that excuse before (Costco, Hawaii COLB).

We are raising critical masses of feral youth today. Sad to say, so much of this cruelty starts with the upbringing of the children. And in too many cases, they are brought up in broken homes, ad hoc families, with no values.

I know we’re not supposed to talk about values as that is anathema to the left, but, that’s a major part of the problem right there. Kids brought up without civilizing influences and values become feral. This is a major part of the ghetto culture, which for some reason, we celebrate nowadays through rap and hip hop.

Reason #12,484 to homeschool...

This is so outrageous, words fail me. Pardon the pet topic, but: our public schools are doing an ever-better job cranking out sociopathic packs of wolves.

I think they’re stretching the definition. FTA re another kid:

“Eric Mohat was flamboyant and loud and preferred to wear pink most of the time. When he didn’t get the lead soprano part in the choir his freshman year, he was indignant, his mother says.

He wore a stuffed animal strapped to his arm, a lemur named Georges that was given its own seat in class”

Ok, so this kid killed himself because he was subsequently bullied? ‘Scuse me here, but wouldn’t the average kid try to supress this behavior in the face of bullying?

At some point, wasn’t he basically trolling for it?

So he got bulklied

I think the school is going to be in trouble.

At school, life was very different. She was ridiculed for her thick accent. Classmates tossed insults like “Slutty Jana” or “Slut-Jana-Vagina.” A boy pushed her down the stairs. A girl smacked her in the face with a water bottle.

Phone callers in the dead of night would tell her to go back to Croatia, that she’d be dead in the morning, that they’d find her after school, says Suzana Vidovic.

“Sladjana did stand up for herself, but toward the end she just kind of stopped,” says her best friend, Jelena Jandric. “Because she couldn’t handle it. She didn’t have enough strength.”

Vidovic’s parents say they begged the school to intervene many times. They say the school promised to take care of her.

She had already withdrawn from Mentor and enrolled in an online school about a week before she killed herself.

When the family tried to retrieve records about their reports of bullying, school officials told them the records were destroyed during a switch to computers. The family sued in August.

May God bless her and her family at this great time of sorrow.

Beautiful Sladjana, may she rest in peace.

Her tormentors and those that continue to hurt her family have no souls.

Like a bunch of hyenas, no different than animals.

Make any and every sacrifice you must to take your children out of the tax-funded, union-run government schools.

The government school is best understood as the Bus Ministry of the State Church of Nihilistic Humanism.

The “school districe” is best understood by it’s Marxian name, the “school collective”.

Come out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord.

The comments on the story are as horrible as the story itself. Things like “bunch of racist hillbillies,” “rich upper scale people who treat people like dirt, think all immigrants are their servants,” etc. Lots of comments trashing the family as well. Sad.

If this is representative of the attitudes of the area it’s no wonder they have suicide problems.

Shazam, how could that have happened? Could they be lying?

We have an entire generation with no conscience, effectively sociopaths. Taught by a public school system administered by soul-less socialists.

Speaking from experience, it has been my considered opinion for a number of years that the public school system cannot be fixed in its present form. Start over from scratch.

Some of the administrators I dealt with did not have the logical reasoning capabilities required to successfully operate a lemonade stand. And a few, IMO, should have been serving time.

I can’t place when it happened, but at some point it went from taboo to awesome to be a bully. When I was a kid, I got picked on for being fat and nerdy, but it wasn’t anything I couldn’t handle. Then again, the Internet consisted of America Online for us.

Today’s kids are completely numb to violence. The proliferation of increasingly violent television, culturally stereotypical behaviors as seen in rap videos, and the ho-hum attitudes of the “Hippie parents” have turned kids into sadistic, hateful little imps.
