The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
Whether left or right, they're holding hands on this one.
I believe some FR members are actually democratic operatives or liberal kooks pretending to be conservative impostors who like to cause plenty of trouble on this site.
Then you have the ultra right-wing radicals who are mentally unstable and just as dangerous.
Thank you SO much ... what a fantastic and thrilling event for this great and honorable family. I don’t think I got a ping for these .. just wondering.
I love love love the fabulous pics of 43 and 41 .. there’s a sentimental tear in Dubya’s eye, I think. God bless them all.
**NOTE!!!
Right now ..THURSDAY, 8PM CENTRAL, 9 PM EST .. on HBO .. is the documentary film “41” .. tune in! Fantastic life history of Pres. George H. W. Bush .. Poppy! Lots of family pics and stories. God love him. What an incredible American family and legacy.
I wished they would have chosen another channel then HBO
Me 2!!!!!
Amen, Starwise!
pattyvita, thank you for these incredible photos of the Bush family aboard the USS George HW Bush! Two Presidents of great honor, class and decency.
Oh, I’m sorry Starwise you didn’t get a ping. Maybe the long ping list I was trying to post somehow didn’t get through and not everyone got to be pinged. Again, my apologies to you and the rest.
I don’t have HBO so I didn’t get to see the documentary. HBO is piece of garbage anyways especially after one of their shows, “Game of Thrones” put Pres. Bush’s head on a stake in one episode. How sick is that?! Typical of liberal Hollywood showing their true colors.
I’ll wait until the “41” documentary comes out on DVD instead. Thanks for the reminder.
Howdy- I’m trying to remember how to post photos on here! Sigh, it’s been too long and freerepublic cleared out my mailbox!
anyways, Jenna Bush and Mia Baxter have a website called “The Novo Project”. You guys need to check it out. The most recent post involves an interview with their dad and some cute pictures that I haven’t seen before. Here’s the link:

Hope this helps! :)
You’re very welcome dmd25. Bush 41 is a good man who served our country honorably regardless of what anyone says. Let’s be grateful that he’s alive and active as he is now one of the oldest ex-presidents still living.
I hope GHWB will be healthy enough to skydive on his 90th birthday, it’s what he has promised! :)
President Bush stands during the intermission of God Bless America
((Ping!))
Thanks....They always make me smile.
Love that picture with Poppy, Bar, the kids and the grandkids!
NY Post - Cindy Adams, who was in Kennebunkport for
the “41” party, describes the event and the people.
Very complimentary.
