The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 24% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-seven percent (47%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -23 (see trends).

I’ve been watching this number daily or almost daily for over a year now. This is the lowest number I’ve ever seen, surpassing the -22 which I believe was his lowest rating until now.

It seems like zero breaks into a lower range, bounces around with just slightly better numbers with a couple hits of that same new low for awhile, reaches a plateau and then drops to yet another new low every couple months.

It’s still not as low as it should be. He should be at -60, meaning the 20% hard-core left supports him but nobody else does.

The poll is actually not very volatile. It has been within the minus 14 to 17 for over 9 months. Clearly the lows are getting lower for him, and the highs are also getting lower...

He’s on a down hill trajectory.

I’m sure he’ll do the Oprah thing... but I think Americans see this gofer partying and vacationing on our dime... and their sick of it.

He’s worse than Clinton when it comes to checking which way public approval is going before you make a decision..

I agree. It’s funny how many of us on FR feel the same way about things. There are some FRs making comments that could come directly from my heart and mouth.

I’m thinking God’s Will Be Done when it comes to this country. Obama is in office for a reason....
