President Obama on Friday said he has no regrets about describing the last three months as the "Recovery Summer."
"I don't regret the notion that we are moving forward because of the steps that we have taken," Obama said in response to a question after he offered comments on the latest unemployment figures.
The administration described the summer of 2010 as "recovery summer" because a large amount of the 2009 stimulus package was being spent over the summer. But job growth slowed dramatically over the summer amid concerns the economy was moving into a double-dip recession, and Republicans have made fun of the moniker.
The president's remarks came after the Labor Department released jobs data showing unemployment rising from 9.5 to 9.6 percent. The private sector created 67,000 jobs, but overall the economy lost 54,000 jobs.
Those numbers were better than expected, and are easing concerns about a double-dip recession. Still, Republicans argued Friday they fall short of a real recovery.
The administration has held firm that its policies are slowly but surely nursing the economy back to health.
"We are confident we are moving in the right direction but we want to make sure this economy" is getting even stronger, Obama said on Friday.
Obama said he would be offering a new package of ideas on the economy next week.

The economy stinks, there is no recovery, the job situation is hopeless, the debt insurmountable.....
......and Obama has no regrets and 'stands by' it all.

Ir scares me because I know what it is like applying for jobs 24/7 and being on the verge of being foreclosed upon, no income whatsoever and wondering when we do get the boot, where do we go?
It is a horrible feeling and yes, I do have experience but it is not easy. I am not looking for a job that pays top dollar either, just one that covers the bills and maybe rent.

The Republicans are not trumpeting what a failure the stimulus and recovery summer were loud enough, IMO. The Democrats CRAMMED A TRILLION $$$$$$$ STIMULUS down our throats on a party-line vote. The Republicans said it would not work and we should instead hold the line on spending and wanted a tax cut package instead. The Democrats shut them out!! Look at the results, now the Democrats are wanting tax cuts!?! We told them all along that the that massive stimulus bill that was nothing more than a trillion $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ giveaway to liberal interest groups would not work. What was it Obama said, we don’t want to hear from the people who got us in to this mess. Then after the TRILLION DOLLAR SPENDING MONSTROUSITY, they cram a MULTI-TRILLION $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ HEALTHCARE TAKEOVER down our throats insisting that it will cut the deficit. These Democrats must think that the American people are dumb as rock if they think we are gonna buy their BS now!!

So the question is - To whom has he given the task to come up with these ideas since he has no intention of doing actual work himself.
Someone needs to tell Zero that we don’t want to hear from the President and party that got us into this mess (and I don’t mean Bush).
even if this worked then they are not jobs which will last 40 years, they’re short term jobs to make the numbers look better till the next election.
