From Sean Cockerham at the Alaska Division of Elections office in Anchorage --
Update, 11:10 a.m.: Joe Miller's lead over Lisa Murkowski narrowed from 1,668 votes to 1,325 with the first count of absentee ballots this morning.
It looks like 2,391 votes were counted in this first batch. They're from Districts 17 through 26, all Anchorage.
More numbers to come.

Thanks for the ping.
Dayum. I’m on that page, and linked others, but I forgot to check for updates...lol.
Oy.
rsmccain CONFIRMED Wasilla-Palmer Districts NOT counting absentees today http://bit.ly/cCBnQp
So Miller withstood Anchorage and half of the 16,000 and questionable ballots to be counted and only lost less than 400 votes...either he maintains at 1,000+, or could it be headed for a recount (then I’m worrying.)
This not new news at all. It was in the very first story early this morning at this link:
I am NOT a math genius, in fact, I can’t balance a check book, but I still can’t calculate a scenario where Lisa overtakes Joe Miller to win.
He’s never lost his lead.
Still ahead, and in Alaska, a 1,000 vote lead is considerable.
She chipped-off approx. 400 votes, but those votes came from her strong areas.
Joe Miller is the winner. It’s just a matter of time to make it official..
It is a shame about King County and what has happened in the state of Washington in the past.
Questioned by who? There were stories going around that the Murkowski camp or someone on their behalf was making phone calls to absentee voters asking who they voted for. If they answered for Miller, their name went on a list as a ballot to question.
Now there may indeed have been phone calls and deception may have been used to get a response {"calling from such-and-such pollsters to get an idea of what the final vote might be. If you voted absentee, would you share who you voted for?"). Hopefully, they didn't get many to answer.
They updated the site right before it was posted here. I’m headed out the door so no more updates from me.
Why aren’t they going to continue counting tomorrow instead of Friday and Sept. 8?. Are they purposely contorting the situation?
Fox News guy in Alaska, his name slips my mind this second...Dan something I think? Just said that the remaining ballots for the most part will be coming from areas that Joe did the best in. In fact he said it is such a big hill for Lisa M to overcome...looks like a big win for the tea party (paraphrase from a poor memory) but that is basically what he said.
Me I celebrate a little later
..i think they have to travel to remote sites...
LOL!
The votes may have just been counted now, but the fact that they were not included in the original count on election night was known previously.
I hope so, I see a lot of funny business going on over there. Finding “lost ballots” just smells funny, hopefully tomorrow we find out for sure that Miller won
Votes from Fairbanks (and Juneau if not already in) still to come in tonight.
Dan Springer is the guy from Fox. He is stationed in Seattle.

Yes, this particular House District PDF is the only one updated today so far.
No one has mentioned Juneau coming in yet. As of this moment, they’re still on the 13:15 results. I would guess that the Juneau results will be coming in next (they started counting at 1pm Alaska time apparently) and then Fairbanks (they’re starting at 3pm Alaska time).
That was him, and he was in Alaska an hour ago.
