Does Gov. Palin think she needs to do this to appeal to the middle, in order to be elected? There are way better ways to appeal to the middle - like advocating MUCH less government so as to encourage job creation.

"DC Fire Department Report" Quote Regarding September 12 Event Misrepresents Agency PolicyThat low-ball estimate was just for one of the pre-march assembly areas, and not even the main assembly area. I was there, and most of the people joined the march while it was in progress.In reference to the September 12th Tea Party event held in Washington DC, quoting a “DC Fire Department Report”, regardless of what any media reported, the size of the crowd of those who attended this event were never estimated by DC Fire & EMS. Any reports contrary to this are false. The DC Fire & EMS Department does not estimate crowd sizes.
A Twitter posting estimating the crowd gathering at Lafayette Park only as “large, possibly as many as 60 thousand” stated that it was an early estimation of that specific area (Lafayette Park), not the number of participants in the event.
“I was disappointed that she had to mention him too, I think she was letting everyone know that she is still supportive of him. I know she mentioned him as a war hero, but I do feel she purposely included him to show that she really meant it when she campaigned for him - that she wasn’t forced into it like a lot of people are saying.”

Estimates of crowd sizes from reported subway station statistics are invalid because the station managers opened the gates because the platforms became dangerously overcrowded. Thus, they had no way to tell how many people from the turnstile counts, because the turnstiles were bypassed.

Dr. Alveda King was also on the platform, echoing the famous words of her uncle’s “I have a dream” speech.
“I have a dream,” Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece declared, “that America will pray and that God will forgive us our sins and revive our land.”
After announcing media estimates that the crowd ranged in size from 300,000 to 500,000, Beck reiterated the rally cry that summed up today’s primary message:
“It has nothing to do with politics; it has everything to do with God.”

What about knowingly and falsely accusing someone and some groups of racism? (Or even doing so out of a position of willful ignorance, or a position of *purposely* not doing due diligence?)

I was so hoping to capture my father, sister and son there. I’m still waiting for my son to send me video and pictures. I guess Verizon had an overload and he was unable to do it during the rally. Oh well, it would have been nice if he could have.
Plus mebbe half a million watch it on C-SPAN? Who knows - what a great event!
