Former USDA official Shirley Sherrod, who claims she was falsely smeared as a racist while she herself falsely smears Republicans and Fox News as racists, said this morning that she would like to see BigGovernment.com, the website that made her famous, shut down for the good of the country.
CNN's American Morning reported on Sherrod's demand:
She said if Breitbart's site were shut down, "That would be a great thing, because I don't see how that advances us in this country ... at a time when we should be trying to look at how we can make space for all of us in this country, so that we can all live and work together, he's doing more to divide us."
Sherrod also told CNN she is considering suing Andrew Breitbart, the owner of Big Government:
"I really think I should. You know, I don't know a lot about the legal profession, but that's one person I'd like to get back at. Because he came at me. You know, he didn't go after the NAACP. He came at me."
Yesterday, in an interview with the Democrat front group Media Matters, Sherrod smeared Fox News as wanting to take blacks back to the Jim Crow era:
... they would love to take us back to where we were many years ago. Back to where black people were looking down, not looking white folks in the face, not being able to compete for a job out there and not be a whole person."
In the same speech given in March to the NAACP that initially got Sherrod fired by the Obama administration, Sherrod smeared Republicans as racists for opposing Barack Obama's government takeover of healthcare:
"Some of the racism we thought was buried, didn't it surface? Now we endured eight years of the Bushes, and we didn't do the stuff these Republicans are doing because you have a black president."
Sherrod is being annointed as a saint by the media for her claim to have overcome her own racism. She is even being compared to Nelson Mandela. Yet to this day she speaks in starkly racist terms of "my people" and "his own kind" while flinging the race card as skillfully as Jesse Jackson at her perceived political opponents.
She also has revealed a leftist totalitarian streak. It's no wonder the communists from ANSWER and Code Pink were out supporting her yesterday:
She’s one of the Ruling Class
Well, there are two ways to shut down a website: getting a libel judgment against it with a settlement that deprives it of sufficient funds to run, or sending jackbooted thugs to steal its servers on behalf of the “public interest”.
If Ms. Sherrod thinks she was libeled, she has every right to pursue the first means. As to the second, there is this little thing called the First Amendment that restrains our government from doing the second
As Andrew is a ‘cracker’.....this is obviously racism.
Pure and simple.
It would seem to me that something like this would warrant at the very least a phone call.
If she knew about it, did the NAACP know about it? Who told her?
I have serious doubts about who gave the snippet to Breitbart. Is it the same person who gave the full video to NAACP? Is this person in any way personally affiliated with Ms. Sherrod?
There's more to this story - someone in the media (tv) needs to start asking these questions.
This smells of a set up!!!
First of all, it’s not cool to yuk it up about discriminating against a white farmer. And to use it in a speech to show how much better you are now is not too cool, either.
Right. Let’s have more of this fascist drivel. Take away speech rights of conservatives or anyone that isn’t a fascist progressive.
This hateful, typical marxist-racist needs to be continually studied and exposed as a case-in-point for the rest of the nation.
She embodies perfectly everything that the radical left truly is and “daylight is the best disinfectant.”
Just make sure everything is accurate, true, verifiable and preferably on video or audio.
Even Hannity was glossing over her repeated use of the condescending term “his own kind” she used in reference to the farmer in her so-called “exculpatory statements.”
Ritz and Saltines never hurt anyone... why do blacks hate them so much?
LLS
I’d say Breibart succeeded beyond his wildest expectations to out the NAACP on bigotry and racism.
Grand Slam for Andrew plus he got the opposing pitcher thrown out of the game.
It has turned out to be one of the greater frauds perpetrated on the US taxpayer.
It really doesn’t make any sense to bring up the white farmer. And notice that it’s only one white farmer. So why did this farmer go to her? That is the question.
Another thought: Breitbart understands who he’s up against, and mastered the slow drip technique in his take-down of ACORN. Probably the tapes were edited, but when played in context will be just as devastating or moreso. If Sherrod doesn’t launch a libel suit, I would take that as proof this is the case.
how we RULE!!!???
I also thought that at first, but after re-playing it a few times, she was referring to RURAL America (how we RURAL). She was just hard to understand.
She’s getting on my nerves, and she’s supposed to be a diversion. From what I’m not sure.
Breitbart was not set up and this wasn’t planned. The look on Vilsack’s face said it all.
Life is not a plot.
