Former USDA official Shirley Sherrod, who claims she was falsely smeared as a racist while she herself falsely smears Republicans and Fox News as racists, said this morning that she would like to see BigGovernment.com, the website that made her famous, shut down for the good of the country.
CNN's American Morning reported on Sherrod's demand:
She said if Breitbart's site were shut down, "That would be a great thing, because I don't see how that advances us in this country ... at a time when we should be trying to look at how we can make space for all of us in this country, so that we can all live and work together, he's doing more to divide us."
Sherrod also told CNN she is considering suing Andrew Breitbart, the owner of Big Government:
"I really think I should. You know, I don't know a lot about the legal profession, but that's one person I'd like to get back at. Because he came at me. You know, he didn't go after the NAACP. He came at me."
Yesterday, in an interview with the Democrat front group Media Matters, Sherrod smeared Fox News as wanting to take blacks back to the Jim Crow era:
... they would love to take us back to where we were many years ago. Back to where black people were looking down, not looking white folks in the face, not being able to compete for a job out there and not be a whole person."
In the same speech given in March to the NAACP that initially got Sherrod fired by the Obama administration, Sherrod smeared Republicans as racists for opposing Barack Obama's government takeover of healthcare:
"Some of the racism we thought was buried, didn't it surface? Now we endured eight years of the Bushes, and we didn't do the stuff these Republicans are doing because you have a black president."
Sherrod is being annointed as a saint by the media for her claim to have overcome her own racism. She is even being compared to Nelson Mandela. Yet to this day she speaks in starkly racist terms of "my people" and "his own kind" while flinging the race card as skillfully as Jesse Jackson at her perceived political opponents.
She also has revealed a leftist totalitarian streak. It's no wonder the communists from ANSWER and Code Pink were out supporting her yesterday:
Now that it's coming out that Saint Shirley's mouthpiece in this private law suit (class action civil rights, I believe) was ALSO hired as a government attorney in her Department boggles the mind!
Looks like corrupt Chicago Way deals were made all around behind the scenes in settling this suit.
Mmm, mmm, mmm!

KansasGirl, Miss DiDi, or anyone else -—I’m away from my TV. Do you still have that bit recorded? If so, can you play it back one more time and give us a transcript of the five or six words immediately following “rule/rural”?
“Rural” is an adjective, while “rule” is a verb. The grammatical context will tell us whether Sherrod said “rule” or “rural”
Thanks.
And to think some conservatives have been defending her.
Sherrod needs to shut the hell up.......she keeps this crap up and the more dirt will be dug up and then used to bury her like the “bred” racist and bigot she really is......
If the shoe was on the other foot and it was a white
official who made that statement and this debate was going on they would be pouring over the 24 year old records and noting the race and judging the the outcomes looking for other instances of racism and by now they would be parading a host of victims in front of the cameras complete with sob stories of how the effects linger to this day. Lawyers would be lining up to take the cases.
All Brietbart did was post her own words, made in a public speech. I’m sure Andrew wasn’t in the room taping her. Try sueing your pal Shirley, or was this PLANNED.
Last Night on OReilly Dick Morris (I think) said that now Obama is now stuck with this woman...I bet some of the stuff she has said and will say is not gonna be helped no matter what “CONTEXT” it is put in
I don’t think Beck said anything wrong. He simply said we should wait for all the facts to emerge before rushing to judgment.
Coulter, on the other hand, gushed repeatedly about Sherrod’s “perfectly lovely” speech. I didn’t think it was “perfectly lovely.” I think she was explaining how her decision making process has evolved from mainly racism to class warfare.
exactly whats she going to litigate on, these are her own words and it was her boss who didnt do the due diligence check before sacking her.
Portrayed as the student and mother...
Mark Levin played another part of the tape, on his radio show, where she implied people who disagreed with Obamacare were racist. The comments seem aimed at the tea party movement. The tape was from last summer.
>What was sickening was the number of conservative commentators canonizing this racist nutjob yesterday, generally as a vehicle to get at the 0bama administration. There were only a handful that were putting the brakes on it (Hannity, for one).
Glenn Beck for another.
>The rest were sounding like they were getting talking points from Journolist.
Something’s rotten in America... and it just keeps looking worse and worse the more we see and/or hear about it.
Breitbart portrayed the speech as a this-is-how-I-stuck-it-to-Whitey speech; and that's precisely how her cheering audience took it too! Furthermore, she accepted their cheering. The NAA(L)CP audience saw that speech as a this-is-how-I-stuck-it-to-Whitey speech, they cheered it as a this-is-how-I-stuck-it-to-Whitey speech, and she never once reprimanded them for seeing it as a this-is-how-I-stuck-it-to-Whitey speech. Why? Because it was a this-is-how-I-stuck-it-to-Whitey speech!
She may have gone on to fix the hurt she tried to do to that farmer and his family, but she hid that fact from her racist colleagues at the NAA(L)CP. She let them continue to believe that she got back at a White Devil for them.
I think she was being sarcastic.
CA....
I wonder how many peopl get hired by the entity that they win a 13 million $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Lawsuit.
HUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
That's what's missing from all this...His connections...and I believe they are BIG.
I listened to him a bit on the radio yesterday morning, and he kept referring to "this lovely woman" who had grown as a person and had gotten beyond race, and how her story should be embraced by the Obama Administration etc.
I puked and changed the station.
I agree. Shoot, if I were in her shoes, my hubby would be surgically attached to my side.
It was something along the lines of how she wanted to meet with Obama to explain how we rural folks live or something like that. She was hard to understand but she wasn’t referring to rule but rural.
