Former Agriculture Department official Shirley Sherrod said Thursday she wants to discuss racial issues with President Obama, who's "not someone who has experienced some of the things I've experienced in life."
But she also said on morning news shows she feels there is no need for Obama to apologize for her wretched week, which started with a conservative blogger posting controversial remarks she made, and led to her ouster as an Agriculture Department official and then, ultimately, apologies from both the White House and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack.
...snip...
Sherrod said of Obama: "I'd like to help him see some of the things that he could do in the future."
"I really regret what they did. But as I said before, he's my president," Sherrod said. "When you get it down to where the rubber meets the road, I think you need to understand a little more what life is like. I'd love to talk to him, though, or people in his administration ... to help them understand."

Excellent question!
Does she drink beer?
“Shirley Sherrod said Thursday she wants to discuss racial issues with President Obama”
Perfect. She can tell him how she knuckled down cracker farmers and he can regale her with stories from “Rev.” Jeremiah Wright’s racist sermons he sat through for 20 years.
No kidding! Watch the video of her speech from March to the NAALCP and listen to the reaction of the crowd as the speech unfolds. Most of them are agreeing with her and laughing about when she talked about not doing all she could do for a white guy. It was disgusting. Wait until these same people are running our health care system......
Discussing racial issues means talking about how Whitey is the racist.
Looking into hubbies background. These are civil rights activists looking for reparations. I found a few articles....one dating back to 2005 about the lawsuit...and how it was going.
That is indeed a good question.
From everything she says, this poster strongly suspects her working definition of ‘acting superior’ contains exactly two data points:
Successful. And white. She is motivated and defines the entire world around her every day, by a deep resentment of (both) those characteristics.
Do you think they will speak with or without the Negro dialect?
:-)
The 13 million dollar settlement was awarded to the farming cooperative that Sherrod was a part of. She got about $150,000 of that amount. I’m also pretty sure she and the other rural Georgia farmers would have preferred to have their farming cooperative treated fairly by the state and federal government.
“Breirbart, this one backfired BIGTIME.”
Not so fast. Th woman is still a racist no matter how the media tries to spin in this first 48 hours. Key now is to keep digging. My guess is there’s definitely a treasure trove of video and sound out there. Dig it up post it and trow this back in their smug faces.
oh, and don’t forget to continue to remind people that Obama is a racist for firing a black woman without knowing all the facts.
Then watch the reparations bandwagon go into full-tilt boogie mode under her direction.
Yep and our gubmint is infested with racists like this woman. Dr. King has got to be rolling over in his grave.....
To paraphrase Pilate from “Jesus Christ Superstar” — “You’re Sherrod’s race, you’re Sherrod’s case.”
> The 13 million dollar settlement was awarded to the
> farming cooperative that Sherrod was a part of.
The farming cooperative disbanded over 20 years ago.
Where did the money go?
And was the cooperative really mistreated on the basis of race, or was it simply subject to the same “loving care” everybody gets at the hands of government agency apparatchiks?
White farmers can’t sue for mistreatment based on race.
Black farmers can.
Even when the mistreatment is applied regardless of race, as it is in so many of our byzantine bureaucracies.
How fair is that?
I find it interesting (and largely ignored by the mainstream media cabal) that conservatives were among the first to defend Ms. Sherrod—Beck, Krauthammer, even Ann Coulter’s latest column—because the video was NEVER about Ms. Sherrod, but about the approval given by the NAACP crowd when she SPOKE about her initial racist actions.
What backfired was the kneejerk idiot reaction from the White House.
“Breirbart, this one backfired BIGTIME.”
It wasn’t a victory without taking a couple hits but the victory is still Breitbart’s and ours.
The White House is twisting in the wind with a racist marxist holding all the cards and the more we research Sherrod - and remember that she says in the tape that “it’s still about black and white” - the more her racist and radical views will prove that Obama made two mistakes: firing her AND hiring her back.
Shake off the little injuries. Fight to win. This is war.
GO BREITBART!!!
