Several thousand people have attended a European-wide gay rights parade in the Polish capital Warsaw.
It was the first time the annual EuroPride march was being held in Central or Eastern Europe.
Several small counter-demonstrations were also held and some people hurled eggs and abuse at those in the parade.
A BBC correspondent says gay people in staunchly Roman Catholic Poland find it hard to be open about their sexuality.
Church leaders and politicians regularly speak out against homosexuality, Adam Easton reports from Warsaw.

The colourful parade began to the sound of pounding drums and vuvuzelas, our correspondent says.
Floats covered in rainbow flags and balloons carried politicians from Poland and across Europe.
One person was dressed in a devil mask and horns - a cheeky reference, perhaps, to the controversy this year's EuroPride has caused in Poland, our correspondent says.
"We feel like they are 20 years behind the Netherlands," said Ad Bakker, a 39-year-old from Holland who travelled to Warsaw to show solidarity with Polish friends.
"But the atmosphere is good and we hope that EuroPride will help," he told the Associated Press news agency.
A Polish friend of his, Sebastian Blaszczyk, 36, said the situation was improving every year but Poland still had far to go in accepting gay people.
While EuroPride's organisers had hoped a minimum of 20,000 people from across Europe would join the event, police estimates put the figure at several thousand.
By comparison, more than a million people attended a gay pride march in Madrid three years ago, our correspondent adds.

if they actually told the truth and said that they like getting off in an unnatural sexual way then that is one thing but to say it is perfectly normal and natural when it is not pisses a lot of folks off.

It was quite convenient that “they” (someone) murdered the president, the one who was against the homosexual agenda. Now, not much stands in their way.
I have gay friends who are just as appalled at these parades as I am, they know it does more harm to their cause, which is to just be left alone.
I have no problem with what two consenting adults do, or at least I don’t think there is any reasonable thing I could have the government do to stop them.
However, when they encroach on the social norms in such an “in your face” manner, that’s where I have the problem. And that’s where the problems lies, you give them an inch, they’ll take a mile.

Poland is not an independent state any more if it can't decide what is and isn't legal. They transferred this power to foreign bureaucrats who don't care if Poland is a Catholic country or a Satanist one.
Anyway, now anyone protesting this gay parade can be arrested and convicted of "hate speech". Black is white, there are five lights, and inmates are in control of the asylum.
He also opposed the swine flu vaccine agenda. I believe that is just one of the REAL reasons behind his murder. He was against the EU takeover, as well. They needed to discard him.

You know, the scriptures make it clear that when a society is not living the way it should God will find a way to wake them up. I would encourage people to read Romans 1. And what does Western society worship more than anything else? Wealth. I wonder if perhaps younger people on these forums might consider talking with still-living grandparents about The Great Depression and get their advice for surviving when the US and Western Europe fall.

in your bedroom is up to them and their business but to come out and have these parades, demo’s protests etc is where everyone I know minus a couple get pissed off.
they used to say it is their business , well then keep it private, I don’t nor does anyone I now run around letting everyone know what they like sexually.
if they stopped their in your face and stopped pushing their agenda then they would get more support and one homosexual guy I used to work with said these parades are an embarrassment, his life, his privacy and he does not need to tell anyone nor get out there in public pushing his view.
Because they can make an argument against religion since it is belief. They want to take the argument away from the fact that it goes against Natural Law.
They could NEVER win the argument against that fact--that what they do is a perversion of nature. Although they lie (gay gene) and have most people believe it, it is simply a learned sexual behavior that had to occur with abusing a child in the formative years--either emotionally and/or physically. That is why the gay safe school czar wants to indoctrinate kindergarten children, so they are conditioned to think something they would instinctly know is wrong, is ok.
Teaching "tolerance" is really conditioning them to learn there is no right and wrong--no moral absolutes and certainly no need for sexual morality. Like social Darwinism, it leads to atheism in adults.

Studying ancient civilizations...there was rampant homosexuality (it was learned and promoted in the culture and pedophilia was allowed). There was no sexual morality so to say, Pagan gods had sex with everyone or anything. Of course, there was a different status for the penetrated and that is why boys were used so prevalently...Pretty sick stuff! Also, it conditioned the boys to the practice of homosexuality.
Men had to be encouraged to procreate with women by government, that is how obsessive the behavior became. (Habituation by Aristotle) Woman’s status in homosexual cultures are always that of second class citizens.
That is why the big push for gay marriage....to be able to talk about men/men sex....to normalize it to children before their formative years are over—before their ideas are set in stone, so to say. It is all about perverting Nature.
