Obama’s General gets dumped, Bush’s General returns. Can Bush return as CIC too?

We can dream, can't we? Bush's domestic policies aside, he wanted a win and was willing to do what it takes.

“general inability to juggle more than one issue at one time”

Let’s give the man credit where it is due. He seems to have no problem juggling his golf and hoops activities even though they apparently require a sizable chunk of hours every week. If we add in WH social activities—which to all appearances have in no way been curtailed despite the growing number of matters that have reached crisis proportions—his juggling skills are even more remarkable.

I think it all comes down to priorities: his actions tell us quite clearly where his real interests lie. For all his flaws, Clinton was a policy wonk who literally couldn’t get enough of policy challenges to engage his mind while in the WH, often working into the wee hours of the morning and putting his advisors through exhausting meetings in which every nuance of a decision was explored before it was made (his addiction to working on policy matters even led him to engage in occasional multi-tasking activities with Monica Lewinsky).

I disagreed with a lot of Clinton’s policy directions, but never doubted that he really did work hard as president. Not doing his homework on an issue literally would have been inconceivable to him. In contrast, we now have a president who instinctively reaches for the Easy button whenever the going gets rough.

That’s why he put it back on Bush’s man. It’s still Bush’s fault. I wish Petraes had said “Not while Hillary Biden are still there.”

I can't figure out why McChrystal agreed to the Rolling Stone interview, either. Could Obama have ordered him to do interviews to help sell the war to the Left?

Obama seems to have a talent for jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

Our communists Muslim corrupt empty headed nitwit King Obama doesn't care how many American GI's he kills with his policy. This black nitwit is crazy with power. He won the lottery and playing is his game while his communists courts, Senate, House, and executive branch is running America.

Why do I trust McChrystal and the military more than Hussein Obambi?

Have to give begrudging respect to Cindy Sheehan. She’s still out protesting, proving it wasn’t just about Bush for her. Of course, the media could give a damn now.

What this affirms is that the great 0 listens more to the sycophants and courtiers in the White House than he does to his generals in the field when it comes to prosecuting this war.

No surprise there.

Hmmmm. Remember Hillary grilling Petreaus during the hearings and the whole suspension of disbelief? I’ll bet he made this appointment to blunt her running against him in 2012.

Sounds like Obozo is like Lincoln in the Civil War Licoln did not like criticism by his Generals, eventually he choose US Grant to command. Grant later become a president. But Grant was a drunk and was known to be highly contoversial with corruption and malfeance.

Hey, now. This is the guy who has taken over banking, education, healthcare, and General Motors, and is now working on oil, the media, and all energy right down to your thermostat. Every bit of infrastructure this country relies on.

He also told the Egyptian ambassador that he’s a Muslim and supports the Muslim agenda (Sharia and the destruction of Israel and the US, apparently) so I think we can credit him with screwing Israel and our military also. He’s succeeded incredibly at alienating our closest allies and he’s made sure our soldiers don’t even have coffee as they prepare to go out and get shot up without fighting back.

So hey, give him a break. He’s been working on everything he intended to work on, and accomplishing most of it as the country stands agape watching.

Game’s over. Al Queda is very active, Osama is still alive, and we’re pulling out of West Asia in a year. Five thousand dead American soldiers basically bought us a dead Saddam, and a temporary reprieve for the people of Iraq.

My pals over in the Middle East Studies section (mostly Libertarians, with 50/50 mainstream parties) tell me that Pakistan will go next, and then either Saudi Arabia or Egypt. Iran will grow stronger, and Israel will be increasingly threatened.

I see us continuing to circle the drain, socially, politically, and economically. EVERY nation has fallen, throughout history. The only difference now is that the process occurs faster. The 2010’s will be interesting!
