The federal government is shutting down the dredging that was being done to create protective sand berms in the Gulf of Mexico.
The berms are meant to protect the Louisiana coastline from oil. But the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Department has concerns about where the dredging is being done.
Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser, who was one of the most vocal advocates of the dredging plan, has sent a letter to President Barack Obama, pleading for the work to continue.

I agree. If Zero can continue to ignore the laws and courts in this country, I think it is time that we do the same. He has set precedent.
I know that every seat in the US House of Representatives are up for grabs in November. The People of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida has got to vote out all of the dims that are in the HoR from their respective states. The same goes for the US senators from those state, if any, that are up for re-election. Make THE 1 pay a huge price at the ballot box in a few months. Two years from then, finish the job and rid ourselves of this self-inflicted national nightmare.
Why can’t the gulf state govenors just tell the feds to f-— off and do what it takes to minimize the damage that is being done to their coastlines? THE 1 wants this to be as huge as it can be. Why not? As long as Illinois and Washington D.C. aren’t the ones being slimed and ruined by this disaster, big deal.

Just discovered that NOAA HAS SUSPENDED OIL TRAJECTORY MAPPING! The ‘reasons’ they give on their website are ridiculous and are obviously being done on the orders of Obama and his administration. How can they say that there is no threat when we have major oil washing up onshore in Florida right now?

If you look down in the yellow highlighted area, it includes this report on local conditions:
“* Reports from Perdido Key are that although inclement weather has kept clean-up crews from accessing the beach in some areas, no new material seems to be washing in and the tarballs are degrading in the sand.
* Reports from Pensacola Beach are that although a dark brown film was seen on the west side of the beach, the relationship to incoming oil has not been determined. The inclement weather hampered the clean-up crews actions.”

Thank you. I saw that this morning too while searching. I just read on a NOAA report(buried among other ‘reports’) that dozens and dozens of dolphins and whales are now being found dead in the water and on beaches..yet the media doesn’t dare report or film any of it because they don’t want to hurt this marxist prez! There is something very evil going on in this country right now. How long are we going to put up with it?

My oft-stated view is that Obama will seize (be granted) enormous emergency powers when the national economy takes a sudden downturn. I think this is likely to happen in August. It can be orchestrated this way: The relief well at Deepwater Horizon fails, and the gusher becomes a bigger emergency, AND the media stops lying about the economy, pretending that we're in a recovery.
In short, we fall off the cliff when the government actually starts telling us the truth, people panic, and congress rushes through some emergency decrees.
Seizing power through lies is a method that works.

One would hope that at some point, even a malignant narcissist meets up with a force larger, meaner, and more intimidating than himself. Although many believe B.O. to be filled with some sort of evil force, I believe that he is not omnipotent, omniscient, or omnipresent. Eventually he will either self-destruct—like Hitler and other dictators—or meet his match some other way (like the top Dem leadership leading him out of the Oval Office by both arms, saying, “You’re not well, Mr. President”).
I really, really hate to say it, but self-destruction is probably the best we can hope for. Barring a miracle, in the truest sense of the word, Obama will never entertain the idea that he might be wrong, and he will never back down from a whizzing contest—even if he is the only one who views any given situation through that lens.
In a lesser position a malignant narcissist soon comes up against an immovable object, such as the boss, the economy, or just a more powerful and influential narcissist. As POTUS, Obama has pretty much no limits. He would not allow himself to be led from the Oval Office by the Dem leadership; he would eject them from the WH, and then calculate ways to crush them for their betrayal.
Here’s hoping he melts down spectacularly, before he does irreparable damage to the country—and perhaps even while there’s a chance for him to get the help he needs. That’s probably our best option.

I don’t know, but here’s one perspective.
The Mississippi river has to be dredged continuously to allow deep draught ships to come up river to the port. The dredging includes the delta area where the river exits into the Gulf. Otherwise, sediment buildup would prevent ships from entering.
So, parts of the marshes are getting dredged anyway just to allow the port to operate.
