PHOENIX Governor Jan Brewer said she was stunned and angered to learn during an Ecuadorean television interview with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that the Obama Administration had decided to sue Arizona over its recently passed anti-illegal immigration law, SB1070.
Video of the interview can be seen at Governor Brewers Arizona Border Security Information website: www.azgovernor.gov/AZBorderSecurity.asp Secretary Clinton announced during the interview on June 8th that President Obama has directed the U.S. Justice Department to bring a lawsuit against the Arizona law.
This is no way to treat the people of Arizona, said Governor Brewer. To learn of this lawsuit through an Ecuadorean interview with the Secretary of State is just outrageous. If our own government intends to sue our state to prevent illegal immigration enforcement, the least it can do is inform us before it informs the citizens of another nation.
Governor Brewer said, I just visited with the President in the Oval Office about our differences over immigration policy, and the one firm understanding we had was that within two weeks he would provide details of his commitment to deploy National Guard troops to the border. While I am grateful that communications have taken place about a possible visit by Administration staff before the end of the month, there is not yet a confirmed date. More importantly, no information about additional troop and border security enhancements has been provided by the Obama Administration to the citizens of Arizona.
Governor Brewer recently announced the creation of a legal defense fund for private contributions in defense of Arizonas illegal immigration enforcement measures www.keepazsafe.com.
Over $22,000 in contributions have been made to the border legal defense fund since its announcement yesterday evening. Over $26,000 had previously been sent unsolicited to the Governor for legal defense of Arizona, for an approximate total of $48,000 in the fund.
She can also call up the militia if necessary. Deputize the citizens who are being directly affected and have them help out.
I know, I know...militia is a four-letter word to some folks...
The vote is meaningless. What is not meaningless, is who controls the voting process, ie; Diebold's hardware and software.
But... I thought their meeting several weeks ago was cordial and productive.
Interpretation: That means they didn’t outright hit each other.

So Hillary decided to spout off in Ecuador? What irony...none of this bothered her though! In fact, it is quite obvious she agrees with them!
OLD GLORY BURNED BY ECUADORAN CROWD DURING CLINTON VISIT
El Universo (Guayaquil, Ecuador) 6/8/10
Crowd burns U.S. flags in Ecuador
While U.S. Sec. of State H. Clinton met with Ecuadors president at that countrys Presidential Palace, a crowd gathered in front, burned two U.S. flags and shouted Out with the killers of immigrants!, Gringos out from Latin America!, and Out with the killers of Palestinians!.
(The relating link below also shows two photographs. One shows the actual burning of the U.S. flag, while a sign nearby shows the likeness of Che Guevara, Fidel Castros revolutionary ally. The other photo shows a pair of hands holding a flier that reads USA is crime and terrorism.
The flier was produced by the MPD (Popular Democratic Movement.) The photos can be enlarged by clicking on the words Ampliar Imagen on the right side of the photo.)

Chris Christie vehemently supports NJ style gun laws....
We need a Brewer/Christie, or Christie/Brewer, presidential ticket BIGTIME.
McCain couldn’t be reached for comment. He was busy making another immigration commercial.
Pray for America
But is not the Governor of the state the Commander in Chief of the states National Guard?
As such, can she not order the Guard deployed on the border, within her state?
I was thinking the same thing!
We are the United States of America.
It is high time we States unite and put power back in the hands of our states where it belongs.
Obama can go to hell!
Has anybody found the Ecuadoran interview yet? Can we get a transcript?
Found a clip of the actual interview in which Clinton says this:

IMPEACH OBAMA!!!
Well put.
Sue a state for enforcing federal law? Wacky.
Meant to ping you to post 235.
There, fixed. The People are in charge of this country, not the politicians.
I hope she is not holding her breath on this....she should know obama is not going to help her and neither are the Dimmies in congress......these are the very same people that let the president of mexico slander her and the state of Arizona for the law to begin with....these same people that gave him a standing ovation.........they should have grilled him like Tony Hayward was put on the hot seat!
All I can say is the SCOTUS, or rather the 5 sane people in it, better start being more vocal...when the Executive branch usurps power from the other two branches, the SCOTUS should be more vocal and stand up for themselves.
“Did Reagan sign an amnesty bill or not?
Actually yes he did, albeit with conditions for stricter border enforcement that were never honored by his political opposition to the present day. It continues to be an embarrassment on an administration that is widely held to be one of the most politically conservative in recent decades. However to the best of my knowledge Reagan didn’t court the hispanic vote, insinuate people concerned with the border were racists, or send out federal prosecuters to go after “over zealous” border enforcement officers. “
Bush called the Minutement “vigilantes.”
