Here is shocking video of North Carolina Democrat Rep. Bob Etheridge being asked by some students on a public sidewalk in Washington, D.C. if he supports the “Obama Agenda.” Once he realized the students were asking him that question, he went bonkers. Etheridge hit their camera and then grabbed one of the students by the arm as he repeated over and over “Who are you, Who are you? Tell me who you are?” The students identified themselves as such, but Etheridge persisted. At one point he then grabbed the student whose arm he had been holding onto and pulled himself up beside himself with his arm wrapped around the student. The student repeatedly asked the Congressman to “let go of my arm.”
There is no scenario under which this kind of behavior is acceptable. Etheridge represents the 2nd District in North Carolina, and faces a tough re-election battle. This video ought to seal his defeat. It’s time for voters to say to Etheridge, “Who are you” to treat people like this?

You guys may be too quick to pass judgement. He kept asking “who are you?”. Maybe he thought these two young men were kinda hot and wanted to know their names so he could ask them out. Notice how he holds the guy after releasing his hand. Maybe this is how guys ask guys out in South Carolina.

This is how they deal with people. This is the contempt they have for ordinary, young students who ask them something very simple.

It seems to me that would have been the correct approach!
Etheridge is a white good ol’ boy who is probably in great pain to have a black (1/2 black is worse because it implies interracial sex) POTUS. Had the question been asked about supporting a particular bill, or supporting the agenda of Pelosi or Hoyer, he would have been much more polite.
Effectively reporting to a younger black man (who is doing a horrible job and will cost Etheridge his power come November) simply puts him over the edge.
I was born in NC in the 50’s and have seen many older white folks play along with the equality movement, but with synthetic sincerity.

Perfectly and succinctly put. I am astounded at the number of bravado posts throughought the threads, railing about what the students should have done, and characterizing their restraint as passivity.
any honorable man would turn himself in for such a flagrant violation of another mans Rights, unlike the 'right' for mr honorable to have the citizens name for the asking on a public street...
maybe its just me, but i saw a whole episode of 'struggle' in that clip that I think lies below the surface to most casual observers...hence i dont think anything will really come of the whole thing...
I would hope charges are brought.
I would also rather see the perp pick up the tab for any costs.
