(NC) Dem Congressman Goes Nuts When Asked if He Supports the “Obama Agenda”; Attacks Students– Video

Here is shocking video of North Carolina Democrat Rep. Bob Etheridge being asked by some students on a public sidewalk in Washington, D.C. if he supports the “Obama Agenda.” Once he realized the students were asking him that question, he went bonkers. Etheridge hit their camera and then grabbed one of the students by the arm as he repeated over and over “Who are you, Who are you? Tell me who you are?” The students identified themselves as such, but Etheridge persisted. At one point he then grabbed the student whose arm he had been holding onto and pulled himself up beside himself with his arm wrapped around the student. The student repeatedly asked the Congressman to “let go of my arm.”

There is no scenario under which this kind of behavior is acceptable. Etheridge represents the 2nd District in North Carolina, and faces a tough re-election battle. This video ought to seal his defeat. It’s time for voters to say to Etheridge, “Who are you” to treat people like this?

His apology was posted on www.foxnews.com. It reads -

"I apologize for my actions," Etheridge told reporters during a press conference Monday. "They were unacceptable."

"No matter how partisan and no matter how difficult things get sometimes, that's no excuse for my response," he added, shortly after releasing a written statement in which he said he "profoundly" regrets the incident.

After watching the video, it just doesn't mesh. To treat anybody the way he treated those young men warrants punishment. He committed simple assault at a minimum and his insignificant apology falls far short. Everybody is well aware how this situation would be playing out if the Congressman in question were a Republican.

Hey Representative Etheridge (or staff). If you're reading this, we just want you to know that we profoundly regret this incident too. Now salvage what small shred of honor you might have left and tender your resignation IMMEDIATELY.

"The students acted perfectly in this.

Here is some stills to back that up:

The congressman first grabs the hand of the youth with his right hand

then grabs the camera out of the youth's hand with his left hand

and and continually ask's who are you.and pulls it down to his side.

then next grabs him with one hand by the back of the neck while facing him..

Then pulls him toward him and to his side where he puts his arm around him:

the youth finally pushes away from him and the congressman leaves with his camera (but he must have got it back because the first part of the video is from the camera the congressman grabs and walks away with)

Whatever else its definitely battery and the kid never lays a hand on the congressman except to push away from him.
