Now that "24" has ended, feel free to offer random thoughts here.
Itzin (a Shakespearean actor in his own right) had BETTER win an Emmy.
We all know what you will do on Mondays, more freepen time...:O)
I was thinking pardon also, as long as she executes it before she resigns.
Was any body elses sound out of sync, or was it my
dish reception?
Hmmm... my criminal slate wiped clean.... the opportunity for flying to my daughter’s home and never have to deal with another day like that... AND being around to make sure politics didn’t lay every single thing at my doorstep...? I might take it.
IRL, the power to pardon is absolute. Conceivably, a president could be prosecuted if they, oh, let's say sold a pardon to a group of terrorists for a campaign contribution to his wife, but that wouldn't undo the pardon.
At least, Jack left without his purse.
I only saw a few episodes because I shut down cable tv in 2002, but when I did I really liked them. Looking for the movie!!
.....Can someone catch me up.....
It began about 4:00 one day and ended about the same time the nextday. Freckles got killed
slicing open a live man’s guts and rummaging around to find a swallowed sim card is pretty hard to beat
agreed ... indeed it was a great "episode" ... i just don't think it measured up well as a season/series finale
- By my count within 24 hrs Jack was stabbed twice, took multiple shots in the chest with his kevlar on, took a shot from Chloe in the shoulder and still managed to run off down the street into the sunset.
- I was really hoping Jack and Chloe would finally hook up and go riding off into the sunset together. She was the only one who really loved Jack, even though it was never spoken.
- I thought it was a fitting end to Jack's carnage to bite off the guy's ear, although in retrospect Jack should have gone for the jugular like he's done before.
- I wonder if Chloe will make an appearance in the upcoming movie? It would be a shame if she doesn't. It's just not 24 without Jack AND Chloe.
- I'll miss hearing Jack say, "DAMMIT !" everytime something frustrates him.
Also, my family has made a habit of counting how many times the characters say “Fine” as a reluctant or angry “Yes.” By my count they said it 13 times this year, a seasonal low I think.
I thought Logan looked so gay. He would try to eat the scenery and I just sit back in my Barcolounger and say, “He is so freakin’ gay.”
And if President Taylor said, “I don’t understand” one more time, I was going to puke.
I will watch the finale tonight....the Celtics were on last night.

Collecting advertising money from people who have nothing better to do.
Happy to see am not only one who got cranked up by 24.
Sorry to see it go. The movie will have to have theaters with cardiac units standing by.
Not that it would have mattered. IIRC, she told Jack that the Russians would also be after him. The pardon would get our government off his back, but the Russians and, I would assume, the radicals from Kaka-stan might have something else in mind!
I thought it was fitting that Loser Logan, who couldn't seem to do anything right, even botched his suicide attempt. (Either that, or the paramedics had an oxygen mask on a corpse).
Oh...about 24 hours.
