The origin of modern myths and legends is a side interest of mine, the birther myths among them.
Now I understand why Obama being born in Kenya made it into your belief system, despite it being physically impluasible (requiring around 5 days and five flights, most on propeller planes) and financially impossible (it would have cost about a year of her parents' combined salaries) for Stanley Ann & Obama Sr. to travel there for her to give birth. After all, Obama's Father was from Kenya, so if you are going to make up a myth about Obama being born abroad, what better place than Kenya?
Implausibilty, and even impossiblilty doesn't deter the making of myths if there is a strong emotional reason to believe them, as in this case.
What I don't understand is, of all possible places in Kenya, why make Mombassa the birthplace in your myth? If you look at the map of Kenya, it's on the other end of the country from Obama Sr.'s village, 762 miles away, which would make it a minimum 2 day train ride. Probably longer, since Kenyan trains were very fast in 1961.
I suppose you could argue that there were no hospitals in Obama's village, so they had to travel to a major city. But Nairobi was closer, and more modern.
So why Mombassa? Not only is it completely implausible; I don't see the emotional appeal. Why Mombasssa rather than his father's village? Or why Mombassa rather than Nairobi?
Help me out here, birthers. Why do you reserve this special place for Mombassa in your belief system?
BS
Still doesnt matter - this man is unconstitutional with divided allegiance which stems from his father. Its even quite possible that he is not even a citizen of this country. What passport did he use to travel to Pakistan and Indonesia back in the 80s?
jamese777 - no matter what you say, you are not convincing anyone with the bogus information put forth on the internet. I can send you to just as much bogus information to debunk what you claim. So, which information are you going to believe?
No internet copy that you put forth will be believed by any of us.
I am primarily interested in commenting on and discussing with other folks about the current status of the more than 70 Obama eligibility lawsuits that have reached various state courts, federal district courts and the US Supreme Court.
EAA(East Afircan Airways) also flew to London, Mombasa to Narobi via prop and Narobi to London via BOAC 707 or EAA Comet 4 and BOAC 707 to New York and from New York to anywhere.
I wondered about that too.
What got that "Anabaptist Bishop" Ron McRae interested in where Obama was born was a quote by Sarah Obama that supposedly said Barack was a "child of the village."
He took it to mean that Obama was born in the village.
That was his evidence.
But when he has her on the phone, he asks her if BHO Jr. was born in Mombasa on the other side of the country, throwing out the only bit of "evidence" he has.
What gives?
Only in the sick, twisted mind of an Obama-supporting After-Birther like yourself does your LIE after LIE somehow equivocate the misapplication of “dribble” for “drivel”.
Your LIES are what compels us to correct your disinformation for lurkers here who may not know better.
But really, either word applies when talking about the Dribbler-in-Chief.
But hey, that was a nice try at covering up your ignorance of the English language. I’ll give you credit for the attempt.
That's a uncalled for statement from a FINO who has absolutely no clues what he is talking about. And it's a vicious insult to a service man as well!!!
I was there all the way on the seven seas!!
See post 360!!!
ST is still around and posting.
I am starting to think that some folks here simply imagine how they want things to be and act as if it is so.
I knew I was going to get nailed for that one. LOL
There's a post way up on this thread that explains the origin of this part of the birther myth.
Apparently, some time in 2008, an Imam came out of the woodwork claiming to have presided over some religious ceremony involving Obama Jr. in a Mombasa mosque shortly after he was born.
ST is still around. Just had a message about the weather in OK, as he lives across town from my Mom.
Rats! I thought it passed. They should try again!
Fine. But it didn't call in either Hawaii or Africa. I'd be very surprised if there was a ship that called at both places.
Even if you could find one, I seriously doubt it was a direct route. It probably would have called a dozens of ports in Asia before reaching Kenya. How long would a trip like that have taken? 2-3 months, minimum.
Here you have a photo of my old “girl friend,” great memories!!!

A whitness??!!
That’s racist.
...I saw that...there’s really no substitute for experience and thorough research, is there?
I’m surprised no one, in the light of the material available, hasn’t reached the same conclusion I have...that in all probability, Obama Senior was an illegal immigrant just like his relatives, Omar and Zeitinu.
No one knows when he arrived in the US, do they? No one can find any entry records. What was his name?
All that’s left after the smoke-screen set up by ‘Dreams’ is the word of CORA WEISS who admitted that he was NOT part of any airlift, but her organisation was able to get Obama Senior onto a ‘parellel flight’ -
And just who is CORA WEISS?
True, but not on all routes. According to your link, by 1961 they were only using 707's to fly to the following:
Zurich, London, Tehran, New York, Los Angeles, Washington San Francisco, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
I don't see Nairobi on that list.
In point of fact, the idea that 707's would be flying to such a backwater place only 2 years after being introducted is just plain laughable.
Face the facts: if you wanted to fly to Nairobi in 1961, you were flying by prop. plane. Period.
Odd isn’t it?
He doesn’t appear to have been part of the African airlift students?
Doesn’t appear on manifests, travels alone, fast tracked through various American Schools, studies russian, lives in someone else house with a white wife and biracial child that no one remembers.
Potential Soviet agent?
