Archaeologists are stumped after finding a 100-year-old Swiss watch in an ancient tomb that was sealed more than 400 years ago. They believed they were the first to visit the Ming dynasty grave in Shangsi, southern China, since its occupant's funeral. But inside they uncovered a miniature watch in the shape of a ring marked 'Swiss' that is thought to be just a century old.

They forgot to mention the watch was resting on top of an iPad.

Relax. It’s just a Chinese knock-off.

That “watch” is a bit on the tiny side, isn’t it? Looks like it could fit around a finger.

There was a black hole in there and the ring watch [a counterfeit Bulova made in Japan] popped out of it.

About six months ago, someone here posted an article from some Southwestern magazine about a place in Arizona (location left deliberately vague it but might have been near Sedona) where there was a rock archway out in the desert near some buttes and a canyon. There had been reports of people going through the archway and ending up in some other time and place.
Could someone who remembers this please re-post the link to the article?
Thanks.

They believed they were the first to visit
So? What they believed was incorrect. Where's the 'mystery'?

It does look like a ring watch. Perhaps they should rename the period the "Ring Dynasty", as opposed to Ming. :)

The ring was in a ‘squeeze to open’ plastic change pocket, marked ‘made in Hong Kong’, with an ‘I Like Ike’ message on it.

So? What they believed was incorrect. Where's the 'mystery'? You just want to poison this thread with the obvious, don't you ;^)

Probably carried into the tomb by a small animal.

Cool comic cover. Serious white guy, smoking a pipe, hair combed back, tie snugged to his neck, thinking and creating. Cool time machine too. Look at the oil can on the floor to its right, lol!
