About six months ago, someone here posted an article from some Southwestern magazine about a place in Arizona (location left deliberately vague it but might have been near Sedona) where there was a rock archway out in the desert near some buttes and a canyon. There had been reports of people going through the archway and ending up in some other time and place.

Could someone who remembers this please re-post the link to the article?

Thanks.

To Thecodont:

Probably a place called “Joe’s Bar & Grill”.

Can we use the archway at the busiest illegals crossing and they end up in Canada?

As long as we are discussing mysterious things and events you might as well check out the “Oregon Vortex” where a person or broom can lean unsupported in an angle and will not fall over. Or a person’s height can change by changing their position by a couple of feet. I do realize that Free Republic has many readers and perhaps there is some one who may come up with a reasonable explanation for these phenomena’s??

That's just Sedona for you - too many folks sitting around in convergences.

I bet the folks that publish this magazine could tell you all about it —

I remember that thread. I’m thinking that there was more to it then that - perhaps I saw a TV show on it as well. In fact, I’m pretty sure I did.

I’m always fasinated by that kind of stuff - and hope that weird stuff like that is real. However, I suppose there is a more rational explanation.

But, if it was a Time Machine - it looks like they also had a “miniturize” setting on the thing.

I remember that story. IIRC, there was also an outbreak of some really strong marijuana going around at the same time.

Coincidence?

I’d be interested in seeing that, as well. I know Louis Lamour wrote one of his western novels with a location like that. Can’t remember the title, though.
