NC should be interesting tonight!
Good Job IP I was just looking for this thread,
Looks like we are gonna be stuck with Coats in IN on the Senate side. Horrible.
Could be worse. I just hope for a seat change. No more Dems.
Thanks for all you do...
In IN08 Risk holds 28.7%-28.6% lead over Larry Bucshon, the NRCC/Tea Party favorite, with 1/3 of precincts reporting.
136/587 reporting #IN09 GOP Young 42 Sodrel 35.
No votes from Evansville in yet, where Bucshon is expected to clean Risk’s clock.
Polls close in NC as turnout disappoints; candidates await results for Senate, Congress
NC seems to be getting bluer all the time.
52% in. Coats 40%, Stutzman 31%, Hostettler 20%
No RINOS!
INDIANAPOLIS Former Sen. Dan Coats, the Washington establishment's favored Republican, opened up a comfortable early lead in the GOP primary in Indiana on Tuesday and voters in North Carolina and Ohio made their choices in House and Senate primaries.
With scattered votes from a third of Indiana's counties, Coats inched ahead of state Sen. Marlin Stutzman, a tea party favorite, and former Rep. John Hostettler. Democrat Brad Ellsworth's nomination is assured. The candidates are seeking retiring Democratic Sen. Evan Bayh's seat.
Turnout was exceptionally light in Indiana, Ohio and North Carolina, a possible indication that the anger fueling voters across the country over economic woes and persistently high unemployment wasn't translating into votes and, perhaps, the limited influence of the conservatives and libertarians who make up the fledgling tea party coalition.
AP says Coats wins the Indiana GOP Senate Primary.
Ashley Woolard in North Carolina CD1 could give GK Butterfield a run...Butterfield (member CBC) ran unopposed in 08...a whole different climate in this neck of the woods these days......
