Anyway, I think one of the reasons we can be pretty sure it was Islamics is that there is no description of the person who was seen running away from the car. If it had been a white male - or even female - I’m sure it would be all over the place and the person’s photo, which they must have from one of the many security cameras they have in Times Square, would be on every news station.
Didn't the scum bag get interrupted while trying to set it off? I read something yesterday about two cops approaching him which caused him to run away.

My comment is with regard to the on-air network reporting. This was getting heavy sensationalized play earlier from the MSNBC “terrorist expert” as a failed right-wing attack.
His logic was that the crudeness of the bomb doesn’t match the high levels of craftsmanship with the iraqi bombs.
I mean, really, who ever heard of a car bomb without a cell phone trigger? That part seemed to really have him worked up. No remote detonation = Right Wing politics.
And how about groups like ELF, the Earth Liberation Front who have used crude explosive and incendiary devices in their terrorism attacks?
News for Coleman - Crude device does not = right winger.
Oh! and Timothy McVeigh a true deranged nut, but the only example the left can pull out of their hat of a “right-wing terrorist” - his car bomb was as sophisticated as anything in Iraq.
