Please check out the provision for a Commissioned Corps and Ready Reserve Corps. in the healthcare bill. I don't know what it has to do with healthcare but it sounds an awful lot like Obama just got his own personal militia.

As one who detests this ObamaCare bill as much as anyone, I get the feeling, unless I'm badly mistaken, that there is too much concern here about the particular section under discussion.

As far as I can see, it is referring only to the United States Public Health Service, which is a relatively little known agency that has been in existence for decades. It is under the direction of the Surgeon General and operates a few hospitals for some retired federal employees. Some of the medical personnel have military officer ranks, but they are unarmed to the best of my knowledge. It seems to be medical personnel, not military or paramilitary personnel, that this section addresses.

So I think we're probably better off excoriating the much more obnoxious parts of the ObamaCare bill.

Correct.

I don’t like what I’m reading because of the following:

1- 0kaka doesn’t hire anybody but thugs, Marxists, anti-American zealots, and at best, progressives!

2- Any “large” quantity of the quality stated in (1) could very well turn into butchers as happened many times in history.

3- I don’t trust a Chicago thug whom I believe isn’t even American, a ghost of a POTUS with no records for his previous life, to be in charge of all the forces he could create and pay them with our none existent money!

4- As far as I can see, this proposed force is not loyal to America, it’ll be loyal to whoever pay them and give them power. It’s a no brainer who that is.

Like many Americans, I’ll be watching what the hell is this all about and how many more “civilian regiments of evil” will be added to the “HC force” and the IRS 16,000 goons!

The content is irrelevant. Any federal version of health care is unconstitutional on ti face since Article 1 Section 8 does not specifically grant Congress the power to regulate health care. That is a power reserved to the states. Hence all the lawsuits and states considering legislation reasserting their 10th Amendment rights. This is the point where people need to focus.

Looks to me that doctors that won’t work with or under Obamacare will just get drafted!

It looks to me as if entire regions could be purged of doctors who do not comply with or work around Obamacare by sending them abroad for a 'health care crisis' in other nations.

There is no Constitutional authority to do this, either.

So, for 8 years of school you might be an indentured servant for 16 years!?!

My mother's doctor said he supported socialized medicine because little towns out on the plains of CO needed doctors. We live in a beautiful mountain resort town. I hope they send his sorry naturalized Dutch butt out to Kiowa or Keota.
