FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 22, 2010 CONTACT: Levi Russell at (509) 979-6615 or Levi@FrontLineStrat.com 25,000+ BACK PUSH TO "REPEAL THE HEALTH CARE BILL" HOURS AFTER VOTE! Just hours after the House vote in favor of the Obama-Pelosi-Reid government-run healthcare plan, opponents of the measure have rallied on line to fight for the bill's repeal. A petition drive launched by the Tea Party Express has received more than 25,000 signatures during the past 12 hours. And the rate of new signatures to the petition is exploding. The petition can be viewed here: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/repealhealthcarebill/ The petition signature count can be viewed - be sure to hit "Refresh" to see the count grow ever-higher - here: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/repealhealthcarebill/signatures "As Americans wake up to the news that Congress has once again defied the will of the people, and the Constitution, we here in the tea party movement are fighting back. We're going to Kill The Bill one way or the other," said Mark Williams, Chairman of the Tea Party Express. "And now we've been given a handy target list for candidates to defeat in the upcoming November 2010 congressional elections. If you voted for this push towards socialism, then you might want to start packing up your office belongings right now. Because we here in the tea party movement are going to be handing out pink slips on Election Day!" Williams added. There has been one other noticeable result from the House vote on healthcare. A surge in emails and phone calls to the Tea Party Express about supporting the upcoming "Just Vote Them Out" national tea party tour, beginning with the "Showdown in Searchlight" kickoff event in Harry Reid's hometown of Searchlight, NV.
"We've found out the past several hours just how many people are determined to come to Searchlight and help us defeat Harry Reid and send him home for an early retirement," Williams concluded.
Tea Party Express III: Just Vote Them Out national tour kicks off March 27th in Searchlight, NV with 42 tea party rallies across the nation, ending in Washington, D.C. for the Tax Day Tea Party on April 15th. More information available online at: www.TeaPartyExpress.org

I think a phony one will work if you don't want to give your real one
It asks you for a donation after you click "sign" etc
It should have recorded you signature though
Click on "signatures" and look for your real fake name or what ever you used
Thanks!
Thread nannies, I already asked
: > )
We need a Facebook page. Facebook is more effective nowadays in getting attention than just a web petition.
Outside of a “feel good” for the person signing, these on-line petitions have no effect and mean nothing. You could have one guy signing 25,000 different names (you’d have to be bored sh-tless but it’s still feasible).
What is this supposed to accomplish?
Yeah, I suspect sites that immediately ask for money. We just had our wallets looted, I am not in the mood to pay out any more. I have important things to stock up on.
Watching Fox...isn’t it time for Shep to go to MSNBC? He is taking the liberal side and harrassing Steele.
They don’t care what you think.
It’s cool that you’re doing something, just make no bones about it: they don’t care what you think.
Agreed.
There’s so many petitions out there now for this and that that no one pays any attention to them anymore.
I wish there was a better one available
I don't know if you can vote twice
I am NOT a proponent of “freep this poll” threads but I did post on the other day
Stay tuned
Shooting up fast. I don’t give chit if they care or not,
If we complain and gather enough support maybe we’ll take our freedom back.
Not to be a jerk-hole or anything, but what if we band 25,000 people together and hold hands? Seriously, signing up for this does what, exactly?? If it was a legitimate ‘unification of the voices of the people’ and was a vehicle for truly sending a message that would be noticed, fine. But (1) I don’t see that here and (2) DC doesn’t really care about the voice of the people. There are other ways that must be undertaken to get something meanigful to happen.
/done with hissy fit
You’re absolutely right. And Facebook is FULL of livid people today over this bill.
People I know who NEVER speak of Politics on Facebook are simply GOING OFF today.
Agreed.
We need to use ALL political technologies to get our message across. Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, ect are just as vital as a web petition.
“Watching Fox...isnt it time for Shep to go to MSNBC?”
Nobody takes Shep seriously......too much eye make-up.
A total revolt or a civil war is about the only way to make them listen now.
Already got it and signed it.
Have no money left though.
The Gub’mint took it ALL.
Does that mean I am now POOR?
I am glad to see the fervor that is coming from the outrage that was perpetrated on our country last night and I hope we can keep it up.
Back in 1973, when Roe v Wade was decided, there was as much outrage for that as is the situation with health care now. But what has happened in the last nearly 40 years? Fervor has waned and only the most ardent pro-lifers are still fighting the fight. Polls taken in 1973 showed roughly around 80% were pro-life, while now the polls are significantly lower. Now abortion, which equals killing babies, is relegated to just a mere issue which can be bargained back and forth as seen fit by the parties involved. I hope that doesn’t happen with this issue.
I fear the Dems are going to try to take charge of the argument and keep beating their drum and eventually the public will get tired of hearing about it and become complacent with the passage of time. We can’t let that happen.
