An attempt late Friday by Rep. Bart Stupak, a pro-life Michigan Democrat, to change abortion language in President Obamas health care bill riled pro-choice lawmakers who vowed not to allow the revision.
The move by Stupak, who holds a crucial bloc of Democratic votes that if released would clear the way for the health bill, threw Capitol Hill into confusion late Friday, less than two days before the House is set to vote on the landmark legislation.
Stupak, leaving the Capitol, said that House Speaker Nancy Pelosis willingness to talk to him about his idea shows Democrats dont have the votes, or they wouldnt be talking to me, he said in an interview with The Hills Molly Hooper.

You are right. Let’s pray about this. The alliances the jackass party have made for this bill are fickle and weak. The slightess push will cause the house of cards to collapse.
Bwaaaa HA HA! And that’s her good side.
“Pretty simple - if Stupak stays firm, we win. If not, we lose.”
Bottom line.
from what I heard murphy and kosmas said yes. Wonder what they were offered for their votes!
“. Lets say he makes a deal with Pelosi. She will lose pro-abortion leftists and the bill will fail.”
Nope. If Pelosi makes a deal, the leftists will still back her, and we are sunk.
these people in the endgame are getting in line to be paid off. Thats all this is
Downer.

Very similar to my hope/dream/prayer. I don’t want her seriously harmed or anything like that. Just somehow, visibly prevented from holding this circus.
Prayers and bump.
I was just informed Kosmas went yes, but had not heard Murphy switched.
Stupak is/was on Greta this evening. Any news come out of that interview?
The scary thing is he's probably comfortable with the rest of the bill.
That there is a slap in the face of the Supreme Court, this is a winnable case, I believe. Just based on the above merits.
Yes.
I may not agree with Stupak on many other things, but he has been a brave soul in standing firm on this issue, and he deserves our support. He is, so far, a national hero.
Freepers, please tell him how you feel. Encourage him. The pressure on him to cave must be tremendous.
Rick Santorum telling Greta now that there are 36 NO’s and 38 will kill the bill. Rick—The real question is how close they are to NOT getting the votes.
I disagree. Go to NRO. Even if the House lefties stick with Pelosi, the prolife provisions will be struck in the Senate, and the bill then has come back to the House - so we are right back where we are today - but it is weeks later and more RATS will switch to NO. Town Halls and irate constituents.
To be sure, any deal must keep the Senate bill, approved by the House, away from Obama’s signature..
Another No vote:

Oh yes. If that is your dream, please don’t wake up until Monday. ROFL
If you vote for the Stupak amendment in reconciliation and at the same time “deem” the Senate bill passed, you are voting for the Senate bill, period. You are voting for the Senate bill’s funding for abortion, the cornhusker kickback, gator-aid, Louisiana purchase, etc. etc.
