Actor Peter Graves was found dead Sunday at his home in Pacific Palisades, according to law enforcement sources. Graves, who stared in "Mission: Impossible," "Airplane!" and Billy Wilder's "Stalag 17"--apparently died of natural causes, the sources said.

Graves was 83, according to a biography on the website IMDB.com.

We moved here to ND year before last and I always interchanged dinner and supper also I started working at a hospital where the older people live, like a nursing home but not. Many of the resident have dementia and have lived their whole lives here.
Do you know how many of them I have confused by asking about their meals? It is almost comical, I was doing an I & O (a record of fluid in and out) and asked what she had had for dinner. I of course meant supper but she gave me a rundown of what was for lunch. She had me confused till I remembered.
Then of course many of them have no idea what time of day it is and meals are what gives them cues. I have finally learned to to only say supper.

I’d forgotten that bit of trivia. Two talented and good looking brothers.

Was that his real hair?

His wife is STILL a babe! What an attractive lady, and I guess they were married for decades. Did I read, since the 1950s?

I aspire to be that attractive when I'm an ol' gal.

He also hosted the AandE Biography series for several seasons, about 20 years ago. Back when the biographies were educational - historical or political figures - or respected achievers who made a contribution to the world. Not the celebrity fluff the Biography show eventually degenerated into.

Is that William Holden in that photo?

Indeed. I was a big William Holden fan, and that was one of my favorites.

No. I remember specifically, The Thing was James Arness. I was terrified with the Thing from behind the door as a kid but thought it was cool later on that James aka Matt Dillon from Gunsmoke played The Thing and was Peter Graves aka Mr Phelps. When I was a kid we'd rush home from church Sunday nights and sit around and watch Mission Impossible.

I thought Greg and Peter (MR Universe) were cool. I thought Martin was a loco and Barbara - she was hot.

You got me curious, so I went back and checked the movie.

Sefton: "What time?
Price: "Six O'Clock. I was eating dinner."
Sefton: "It was six O'Clock in Berlin. They were eating lunch in Cleveland."

Also was in THEM and THE THING (from another planet).

I could have sworn he was in THEM, but IMBD gives the credit to his brother James Arness. Not sure who has the faulty memory, me or them. Do you remember him from, "Night of the Hunter"? That movie scared me to death when I was a kid.
