Reporting from Washington As Virginia Thomas tells it in her soft-spoken, Midwestern cadence, the story of her involvement in the "tea party" movement is the tale of an average citizen in action.
"I am an ordinary citizen from Omaha, Neb., who just may have the chance to preserve liberty along with you and other people like you," she said at a recent panel discussion with tea party leaders in Washington. Thomas went on to count herself among those energized into action by President Obama's "hard-left agenda."
But Thomas is no ordinary activist.
She is the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, and she has launched a tea-party-linked group that could test the traditional notions of political impartiality for the court.

Thank you Mrs. Thomas. Best of luck to you in this endeavor.

Great News! I Love them both.
(She is the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, and she has launched a tea-party-linked group that could test the traditional notions of political impartiality for the court.)
So she sits on the Court??
If not it tests nothing and is nobody’s business but her own
Pray that millions of American patriots speak out and stand up to protect this country before we’re destroyed by Socialist politicians.
Brave heroes, America’s Greatest Generation, died to protect and defend our Constitution and our country. They’re rolling in their graves at the destruction of their beloved country by this government comprised of power-hungry Elitist politicians.
PING!!!
Clarence Thomas may well be the finest man ever to sit on the U.S. Supreme Court, a gentleman and a scholar who has borne terrible insults from the left wing and the MSM. His wife is a great lady and a conservative constitutionalist like her husband. President Palin could hardly find a better Supreme Court appointment than Virginia Thomas. She would be magnificent.
One of the great tragedies of history is that Clarence Thomas was not at Philadelphia when the Constitution was written. Aside from slavery, he shares so much of the vision of the framers, and the reverence for the Constitution in his opinions bear this out. It is interesting to wonder whether the presence of a towering intellect and sterling character like his could have prevailed upon the founders to abolish slavery as a condition for admission to the union. How different history would have been...
In any event, God speed Justice and Mrs. Thomas. Two truly great Americans.
I adore Clarence Thomas, but I’ve had misgivings about his wife. She is a former member of CAN (Cult Awareness Network) and CAN psychiatrist Margaret Singer (horrible, horrible woman on a par with Nancy Pelosi) was all over the TV networks pushing for an invasion at the Waco compound. We all know how that turned out. (I’m just saying...)
“Mrs. Thomas’ Revenge”
Didn’t Abigail do a little grass roots work?
bttt
“Ramona Ripston. She is the Executive Director of the ACLU of Southern California.”
Actually, that ought to force him to recuse himself on virtually every case that comes before the court, considering the scope of their work.
It doesn’t, but it ought to.
The libs really shouldn’t get into the who’s married to whom game. The connections between journalists and lib politicians are legion. And, of course, most lib women don’t change their name, so the connection isn’t obvious.

So you think the invasion of the Waco compound was justified?
Wow. Clarence married a lady with backbone.
“Didnt Abigail do a little grass roots work?”
And Eleanor Roosevelt...she never shut up.
Go to hell.
Ohhh. You have issues.
[So you think the invasion of the Waco compound was justified?]
A Republic, is a system of Governance characterized by the Rule of Law.
The Laws of this Republic exist to Secure the Inalienable Rights of the Governed - NOT so religious miscreants can wall themselves off and molest children.
If your religious beliefs cause you to be in conflict with that scope of lawful purpose, then pack up your shyte and move to Somalia or Afghanistan where religious tyrant War Lords, such as those you evidently admire, thrive.
