God Bless Texas and the Texas Board of Education!!
per Fox News Channel cable broadcast

According to FOX News, the conservatives have won the day at the Texas Board of Education. Texas will now be teaching the true nature of America's Christian founding. The liberals got up and walked out of the meeting as the conservatives continued pounding away at the gavel, issue after issue.

Taking back our country, one state, one text book, twenty million young minds at a time!

"The conservatives pressed for text books teaching the true Christian founding of America and they won. The liberals walked out and the conservatives won every issue."

This, of course, means they're heading to the courtrooms to file lawsuits stopping the quote-unquote "religious takeover of education." Which will drag out the process for another two years, no doubt.

(Shakespeare definitely had the right idea.)

It's good to hear that we conservatives won the battle, but we've definitely got to stay in it for the rest of the war.

Warmest regards,
Brian

Here’s one report from yesterday:

Texas Conservatives Seek Deeper Stamp on Texts

By JAMES C. McKINLEY Jr.
Published: March 10, 2010

AUSTIN, Tex. — Even as a panel of educators laid out a vision Wednesday for national standards for public schools, the Texas school board was going in a different direction, holding hearings on changes to its social studies curriculum that would portray conservatives in a more positive light, emphasize the role of Christianity in American history and include Republican political philosophies in textbooks.

And according to today’s FOX News reports, the conservatives are winning. Big!

Fox News had led you to believe that the balance of power had shifted and Liberals had taken over this board. But from what I’ve ssen thusfar, Conservatives are winning at least 90% of the battles.

The thing is that Texas sets the standard for textbooks in the nation by the sheer number of textbooks they buy. Over time the textbooks that Texas chooses will start to become the standard across the nation.

Praise GOD for the lights in Texas, which illuminate the darkness pervading in every other state in the Union.

I get my news out of NYC. I watch the Fox local channel. Every night, for about 3-4 nights, they have been showing this book thing.

They explained that because Texas is so big and has so many students, whatever is decided here, affects the whole country.

I am glad conservatives are winning this one!

Way to go, Texas!!

I agree and laughed so hard when I heard that the liberals had all walked out on the meeting. Just what did they think they would accomplish by leaving? Too bad for them the decisions were made anyway!

I, too, applaud the Texas Board of Education. I noticed that all the liberals/progressives/Marxists left the meeting. Even if all the books include mentions of God and the founding fathers, you can be certain that the teachers will exclude it or mock it.

Walking out of meetings is what the libs do down here when they don’t get their way. Remember the Libs going AWOL to Oklahoma from the TX house when they weren’t happy with the Repubs here.

Here’s FOX’s page on the issue, though I do not see this morning’s LIVE report there yet. Hopefully they’ll post it eventually.

Our population is going up, sad to say most are illegals or liberals. Given time they will ruin us too.
