According to FOX News, the conservatives have won the day at the Texas Board of Education. Texas will now be teaching the true nature of America's Christian founding. The liberals got up and walked out of the meeting as the conservatives continued pounding away at the gavel, issue after issue.
Taking back our country, one state, one text book, twenty million young minds at a time!
bump
Um, what did they do?
WHAT happened?
And thanks to those of us who actually contacted them on what’s in the books, and what should be...
I hope they started with history books.
Yeah...where’s the AM when you need them...LOL!
We do our best.
The best part is that they lead the nation in this.
The conservatives pressed for text books teaching the true Christian founding of America and they won. The liberals walked out and the conservatives won every issue.
Woo hoo!! Go TEXAS!!
Big sigh of relief! When my 50 year old was in sfchool there was only one paragraph donated to Abraham Lincoln in her social studies text book. So I really had to augment her education for many subjects. Today she keeps a sharp eye on what her children, now in senior high and college, are served up at school, thank heaven. Would that all parents wake up and take a stand on what is taught in their local schools.
Proud to be a Texan today! I saw the footage of one of the lib’s storming out of the meeting LOL... big baby didn’t get her way! :)
Yep. We do it up right down here. Watch and learn, America. ;D
“The liberals walked out and the conservatives won every issue.”
They walked out, because the media, and internet got hold of the story, and disclosed their treachery, and Marxist vampires can’t take the daylight.
Hopefully someone was standing beside the door and making sure it hit them on the @ss on the way out.
Yes... it was stunning to watch the “rats” on that board basically “RUN” when they weren’t getting their way. God bless the conservatives on that board who love the USA and voted to preserve our true history being taught in schools.
I think she was mighty embarrassed when they pointed out that the phrase “the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God” is a direct quote from the Declaration of Independence and should be taught to school children as part of history. Doubt she’s ever read the document. Know that she doesn’t comprehend it or appreciate it.
If Texas keeps this up, their population will baloon dramatically!
History is exceedingly important. I never miss an opportunity to teach a little history. Thus the reason for my tagline.
In a few months I’ll change it to some other forgotten but important historical event and hopefully pique some curiosity.
Is there a link to the details of the proposals and counter-proposals? I saw the story last night on Fox and it was very vague and difficult to understand. Are they providing directions for new textbooks or choosing between existing textbooks?
