I watched the whole thing on TV. It took took longer than 11 seconds for the buildings to come down. There was enough time for the structures to collapse. This is silly.
As I was watching it, I remembered the 1962 attempt to bomb the World Trade Building (underground truck bomb), and I said aloud, “they are going to bring down the World Trade buildings.” I didn’t know WHO they were, but instantly I connected the two as being done by the same group.
a bit surprised to see that in the WaTimes.
Over Load.
I'd have never guessed.
A post and run freeper? Is that you Mrs. Medina?
Its been proven by Hollywood celebrities that metal does not bend when heat is applied ...talk to any celebrity about it
The article only raises one question for me:
What in the heck is the Washington Times doing running it?
Heat cannot melt steel. Rosie said so. Cased closed.
Oh please, engineers all over the world have studied and modeled the collapse and there was nothing unusual found. I could find a thousand engineers who believe that Elvis is still alive, it means jack. These truthers are getting annoying.
Thermite is a commonly used in heavy duty welding and cutting for things such as railroad ties (such as subway systems) and structural support beams. It is not uncommon at all to have found some either from the construction or demolition of the site. Anyone who brings up the 'thermite' as proof of a conspiracy just proves they are an idiot.
I am not a member of “Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth”. However, I am a Registered Professional Structural Engineer (see my profile if you have questions) and the report on what happened seemed perfectly correct to me. The people who say “jet fuel cannot melt steel, so the buildings shouldn’t have collapsed” are idiots.
Answer: 20,000 tons of steel dropped a couple stories will "pancake" the 80,000 tons of lacy framework below it in, oh, about 11 seconds. The latter is not made to withstand twenty thousand tons impacting, and accumulating, with an acceleration of 32ft/sec^2 with a 50-ft start.
Duh. Don't make me work out the math of how fast that 20,000 tons was moving at first impact. And never mind how that 20,000 ton initial impact mass grows to quickly exceed the mass below it.
Abuse report hit. Truther posting bot.
Mr. Gage, who is a member of the American Institute of Architects, managed to persuade more than 1,000 of his peers to sign a new petition requesting a formal inquiry.

Does anyone know much about this organization?
If 1000 licensed and registered architects, and professional engineers feel there were internal explosions, then I ( personally) am willing to give them a chance to present and explain their argument.
And..NO, NO, NO, I do not believe our own government plotted to bring down the towers.
zot
Non-responsive ‘truther’ zot. Never responds, just posts.
As an engineer, I hereby call for all signers’ credentials to be revoked.
You do understand you're exhibiting a lack of ettiquette when you don't state your position or even bother to check back on any thread you've started.
What game are you playing? Even with the articles you've posted we have no idea what your opinions, thoughts, and/or possible solutions might be. Copy/paste are cute and at times necessary to continue with a conversation to a specific poster or excerpt an article. Copy/paste really shouldn't be used for the sole purpose of posting an aricle and then not having the courtesy to respond to your own thread.
You bore me.
