There is a Cultural Revolution underway in the West. This revolution is a threat not only to Christians but to all freedom loving people. For example, there are two conflicting visions of the human person, human freedom, human flourishing and marriage and the family founded upon it as the first cell of a truly just society contending for the future. These visions are incompatible with one another. Only one will triumph.
The collapse of the West can be averted; but only through the influence of the Church. It is her vision of the person, the family and the common good which will pave the way for our true and genuine liberation. It is the Church which is the vehicle of true progress. Christianity is the antidote to the descent into barbarism arising out of the neo-paganism masquerading as liberation.

“Social justice” is nauseating, but that’s not what he’s talking about.

“social justice” has nothing to do with biblical Christianity - Christ’s Kingdom is not of this world. “Social Justice” is all about kingdoms of this world, and true Christians know who the prince of this world is.
It’s similar to the “emergent church” - just another apostatic worldly agenda driven movement taking Christ’s name in vain.

Gingrich has great ideas, but he’s not good at carrying them into practice because he always kowtows to the left.

I understand the impulse to say this but Christianity really is the only adequate human sense of “social justice.”
Tyranny ultimately defines itself and its power in the forms of public execution. The reversal of execution and public cruelty in the form of a human resurrection is the most defiant and idealistic counter statement to tyranny the world has or ever will know.
The suppression of Christianity is essentially a prelude to injustice. It can be no other way.

Nope, not trading one type of statist with another. We need freedom, period. Then individual religious folks can practice their respective religions as they see fit.

Gingrich has great ideas, but hes not good at carrying them into practice because he always kowtows to the left. I was a big fan of his when he was a backbencher from Georgia. He wrote "High Frontier" in 1983 about SDI, and it was brilliant. Then he got "Potomac Fever" and was just another tool.

" It is the Church which is the vehicle of true progress." I respect your views and your faith. But there was such a thing as Inquisitions. They were not very pretty and did not represent progress. We are seeing Inquisitions of another sort by so called progressives now. Who wants to go back to that?

uh..no.Uh, no, what?
Too many "Christians" including Catholics would happily destroy our way of life inthe name of "social justice."
I'm Catholic, BTW.

Your last line is exactly right-- "Christianity is the antidote to the descent into barbarism arising out of the neo-paganism masquerading as liberation." Christ is the Standard. Everything else is along the wide path of destruction.

Father Euteneuer says:
"We are reminded that even supposed political victories are temporary, and that the solution to these problems is not political, even if we have to keep up the political fight and our activist efforts," said Father Euteneuer. "We are called to prayer, fasting and conversion... only God can put a stop to the horror of abortion now."
