“Social justice” is nauseating, but that’s not what he’s talking about.
The author, as he himself stated, passed from being a “hippie” to being a confirmed Christian. I guess in that process, he has never looked at what Conservatives really stand for.
Conservatives are not simply for “individuals” or extreme individualism, as he believes. When individuals are truly free, they will give their loyalty to their families, to their churches, and their social organizations. These are the best social “safety nets” and the strongest bonds of a stable society. An activist Government interferes with all of these. That is why an activist Government is fundamentally anti-family, and anti-Christian.
