Gingrich has great ideas, but he’s not good at carrying them into practice because he always kowtows to the left.

I was a big fan of his when he was a backbencher from Georgia. He wrote "High Frontier" in 1983 about SDI, and it was brilliant. Then he got "Potomac Fever" and was just another tool.
