This just makes me furious. I remember when she first became speaker, and demanded a non-stop flight from DC to San Fran—she refused to “put up with” a refueling stop, because she was just too important.
She is as selfish and self-centered as Mrs. Obama, but regards herself as more important.
If they don't like the lack of privacy, then maybe they should go work for a living instead.
We will have corruption until the day comes when I know their finances better than I know my own.
Too bad RNC is run by idiots. This is (another) golden chance to highlight the Culture of Corruption and how the Dems promised change (and indeed they did do change!)
It is difficult to imagine better example of out-of-touch elitism and corruption than billionaire Speaker of the House (and global warming alarmist) using tax-payer funded military jets to transport relatives to vacation.
Steele is busy vacationing in Maui and giving private well-paid speeches.

Disgust doesn't even begin to describe my opinion on this. She should have to personally pay for the full cost of any flight used for her which she was not on - and not some coach ticket price reimbursement. I want full price of every drop of fuel; every dollar of pay, benefits and retirement funding for both the air and the ground crew; and the depreciation of the aircraft for the flights.
Think of Pelosi's family AF1 travel as stimulus and it looks better, right ???

So, Nancy thinks CEOs shouldn’t fly on corporate jets but she thinks the Air Force is her personal airline.
Her use is a criminal act and she needs to be prosecuted.

Pelosi is certainly misusing the privilege, but the reason the GOP won’t make much traction on the issue is that the practice started w/ HOP Speaker Hastert after 9/11. He claimed he needed the service so he could stay in touch in case of emergency.
I’m not defending their selfish behavior, but politically it’s an easy issue for dems to defend. Conservatives and tea partiers will get upset, but the story will not get much traction (unless there’s really serious abuse) because the media won’t carry the story and will include the dems “reasonable” explanation if they do. Our founding fathers never envisioned Congressmen going to and from Washington on jet airplanes. She should be relegated to going back and forth on a horse!
Pelosi knows there is waste in the Pentagon budget, because she has seen it first hand.
Is there no accountability for these corrupt POS politicians? I guess the fact is they are democraps and as such they answer to no one especially the taxpayer that pays for them. Our Republic lasted for 233 years and because of the stupidity of uniformed greedy taxpayers “put gas in my tank, pay my mortage etc. etc. the great American Experiment is over. :-(
